This forum was out for four hours. I didn't know what to do. Makes you realize how much we take this place for granted. Thanks Ian.

Amen. Made a boring Sunday night even worse. Glad its back!

The spike in traffic apparently hit a level that shut down the MYSQL server. I was out with my wife as my anniversary is today, and just got in a little while ago so I didn't see it until now. I'm trying to get details and figure out why it happened and how it can be avoided going forward.

Of course, Ian neglected to mention that this is what powers the server. Poor thing couldn't keep up with the demand. ;)

Must be a windows server :)

Huh. Since it's the offseason I would have expected that tarffic would be down. But I guess that Samuel being tagged, the draft, and FA are just pulling people in!

Nahhh, it is the Brady Baby thing!;)

I'm thinking it wasn't just traffic on this forum, but on all those powered by this server. I could be wrong though.

No, this site is on a dedicated server so there aren't any others that are dragging it down. I'm looking at the logs now to figure out the load prior to it going down to find out where the issue was.

Happy Anniversay. So close to Valentines Day, too.

Ian, how dare you have a life! ;)

IAN happy birthday

Heh Heh...lost in translation.

Marriage anniversary, not birth(day) anniversary. ;)
