I loved the trade back. I think the picks were borderline comically bad. If I had the con, I'd have gone; put your picks here. There must be something physically wrong with Jesse Williams and Barrett Jones or BB would surely have taken one or both wouldn't he?

2a Margus Hunt - DE - SMU
2b Markus Wheaton - WR - Oregon St - Bet ya 5 bucks he's better than Dobson.
3a Khaseem Greene - OLB - Rutgers - Best def. player on Scarlet Knights
3b Quinton Patton - WR - La Tech - Doubling up on a position of need.

im fine with the first 3 picks i just wouldve changed the last one to patton or greene

Margus Hunt
Aaron Dobson
Stedman Bailey
Barrett Jones

I wanted Justin Hunter. I think Dobson is a project and Brady doesn't need any projects in the last years of his career.

"Best Defensive Player on the Scarlet Knights."?? :confused:

Isn't that like being "Best @$$ Kicker at a One Legged Man's Convention."??

Sorry. Long night. :D

Fine with the first three as is. Give me Jesse Williams at 3b and I'd be really happy. Maybe at 4.

Jesse Williams, Barrett Jones, or William Gholston at 91.

How disappointing this Duron Harmon pick was.

But Jamie Collins and Dobson are very exciting picks. The Logan kid maybe was a slight reach. No problem. But Harmon? Come on.

same regards the first 3 picks. Would have preferred Patton or Rogers with our 4th. If we still manage to snag one of them with our 4th rounder I'm happy.

Harmon is why BB should NOT be allowed to draft any players in the third round. He always goes off script, trying to prove he knows more than everybody else, and what do we have to show for his extreme mental gymnastics, Mallett.

BB is just pathetic as a third round drafter. From Brock Williams on,it has been failed pick after failed pick. Somebody in that war room needs to send BB on a chips and beer run to New Hampshire when the third round comes up,so we can finally have a shot at drafting a decent player in the third round.

I liked first 3 picks. I wanted BB to trade down at #91 for picks in 4, 5 and 6th rounds - never more so after they pick S from Rutgers!

BB and Pats:

A new rule to consider:
Rounds 1 - 5 is for immediate or long term starters
Round 6 is for development players who can contribute
Round 7 is for players with legal and other issues:

2nd Round – DJ Swaringer, SS, South Carolina
2nd Round – Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall.
3rd Round – Jordan Hill, DT, Penn State
3rd Round – Barrett Jones, OL - Alabama
4th Round – Quinton Patton - WR - La Tech

i heard they were trying to but couldnt

Uhhh... I think you have that backwards.

That's a fantasy, especially in this years draft which widely regarded as a depth player draft.

I'd switch out the Harmon pick for Quinton Patton. Then instead of trading for Blount I'd grab Da'Rick Rogers with our third 7th rounder.

I still believe we need another receiver due to the high bust rate we've had at the position. I hope were actively looking at teams trying to put WR's on the practice squad. This might be our last chance to influx new talent at the position while Brady is still playing.

Interesting selections. I would have also chosen Hunt at 53, but like you, I would have been wrong. The more I read about Collins the more I see why BB chose him. I saw Hunts ceiling as having a Mike Wright kind of impact (which is nice-btw) Collins' ceiling is so much higher.

Wheaton is a good pick if we didn't already have Amendola and Edelman already on the roster. He would have been too redundant here. Dobson might be slower to get into the offense, but has the size and skills that are more needed

Similar situation with Greene - After Collins we didn't need another OLB. Nice player, but redundant at that time. Ryan was probably rated close to Kasseem, but at a position of need.

Since we took a WR here, if we had taken Patten instead of Boyce I doubt anyone would have complained. Patten was often mentioned as a WR possibility.

Bottom line - Nice set of picks. Logical and well thought out. BB felt differently.,

Whilst I do think there's a boom or bust element to this draft, moreso than in the previous two years, the only pick that I'm disappointed in is Logan Ryan. But even then, the pickings at CB after Logan Ryan was drafted are limited so I can't see anyone I think would definitely be better than Ryan.

52: Jamar Taylor - the best CB available;

59: Jamie Collins - hoping he sneaks past Baltimore at 56;

83: Aaron Dobson - if gone, then WR Quinton Patton;

91: traded to Miami for 109, 146 & 224 - if not, then Logan Ryan;

102: Josh Boyce.

(If 91-for-109/146/224 did happen, then I would've used 109 on Logan Ryan, 146 on LT/LG David
Quessenberry, and 224 on OT Reid Fragel.)

2a. Jamie Collins
2b. Aaron Dobson
3a. Logan Ryan
3b. Duron Harmon
4. Josh Boyce
7a. Michael Buchanan
7b. -TRADED-
7c. Lawrence Okoye

See what I did there?

When I looked back the one CB I really preferred who was drafted after Ryan (who I don't care for either) was Sanders Commings (the only UGA player who was underrated and not overrated this year, but I digress).
