The third Horned Frog Bill Belichick has drafted in the last three years. . . .

Josh Boyce Highlights - YouTube

Not enormous, but he did well despite inconsistent QB play in the post-Red Rifle era.

Welcome to the New England Patriots Josh Boyce

According to Pro Football Weekly the 106 ranked player overall. 5'11 206 4.38 40.

Production was hindered by the loss of the starting QB. Flashes playmaking ability and can work both inside and outside. Not a very good blocker.

I had him as a possible pats pick. Hope he does well! Strong guy good speed. Hard to jam.

meh...at least it's a need...

Guess BB didn't think he'd be around where he was projected in Rd 7....

BB is really REACHING this year.....hope Josh can contribute....not sure who he replaces.....maybe PS candidate.

Seems like a good pick. Is it true he ran his 4.38 40 time with a broken foot? If so this guy might be a stud. Bedard said his wonderlic was a 23 (2nd highest among receivers) which indicates some intelligence.

Wow, the 2nd highest WR score was just 23? Ugh.

PFW had him #106 overall.

NFL.com had him rated as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

I like that he wrestled a ball away from a defender in the highlight reel. Also, you can see that there were times he had to wait for the ball to arrive.
Should be an interesting target and with a good IQ score. Hopefully we'll be talking about the drafting of this guy and Dobson the same way we talk about Gronk & Hernandez. Remember, Bill struck out many times at TE before he got it right with our stud TEs.

I guess so, those wide receivers are dummies. As Kontra said the Patriots under BB's highest has been Branch with a 26. He worked out fine. This guys got a good build I think he can play outside.

Lindy's and Pro Football Draft Guide has Josh listed alot lower than 3rd round. It's the only 2 I used this year. Not into this year's draft like prior years.

The proof will be in their play....

Amendola, Jones, Dobson, Jenkins, and Boyce. Im ok with losing Welker

As am I, it was time to shake things up.. what I really like about Dobson is he had no dropped balls, Boyce has a lot of upside, will see if he develops..

Do not forget about Gronk, Hernandez and Ballard.. it gets more impressive.

23 is not bad. RG3 had a 24. Brady had a 28.

This guy is a solid pick in the 4th round as a competitor at the slot. He's got good hands and can run over people. The slot receiver just got much younger than Welker and much cheaper.

Don't forget Edelman, Gronk, Ballard, Hernandez and Vereen.

Is it legal to run a 10-receiver formation?

Like when we were kids, somebody hikes standing sideways and everyone runs around screaming for the quarterback to throw them the ball.

Yes…just like that. Except we did not have any Peppers or Ngatas in my neighborhood.
