whos the best pairing of wr's we can pick up? ideally 2 constrasting styles rather than 2 similar players...?

Wheaton Dobson

woods, allen

or

wheaton, boyce

or

woods, dobbs

Wheaton Dobson

The board has sold me that Woods might be the best single option, but that's a mighty nice pairing -- kind of a Branch & Givens plus two inches of height.

top 5 possible combos in order...

1) Wheaton - Hunter
2) Patton - Hunter
3) Wheaton - Dobson
4) Patton - Dobson
5) Woods - Hunter

I think Wheaton - Dobson is more likely to happen than the top two, however. I see Hunter going in the top 10 picks in the 2nd round. Wouldn't be shocked if we traded up for him -- I read somewhere that he was one of the Pats top 3 targets at 29 and theyve got the ammo -- but I'm not banking on it.

dno love for da'rick rogers? i think him and wheaton could be special

Minus baggage these are sure fire First Rounders.

Da'Rick Rogers 6-2, 217

Marquess Wilson 6-3, 194

Yep, but in both cases it's precisely the wrong kind of baggage for the Patriots. Practice-field malcontents need not apply. If only they had punched a cop or smoked weed, sigh. ;)

Have you seen some of those one handed highlight catches from Dobson? Very Moss like if you ask me. I like his lower body Dobson is very thick in the calf and ankle areas he also a load to bring down. We have done quite well with the Marshall WR's Troy Brown and Moss for a spell...wouldn't mind Dobson one bit.

I am on three way with both of them right now...you think your suggestion is too late?;):D

agreed! I would be very very happy with Dobson. I don't think he's THAT much different than Hunter, though Hunter is faster and put up stats against tougher competition. Hunter also has the injury concern though. i'm all for grabbing Dobson in the 3rd (assuming he's available) and using the 2nd round pick we'd use on Hunter on a defensive player.

Hunter & Woods would be unbelievable.

A big vertical threat and a Reggie Wayne clone.

Woods-Bailey
Bailey-Harper
