Hill doesn't have hands of stone. He actually has good hands.. The problem is that Sanchez is a horrible QB. That is our saving grace.

Players trash talk now. This site needs to learn to deal with it.

I don't like trash talking now but it has been the reality of this game for a while now and at some point we need to stop making threads about it.

I don't mind trash talking, wish our guys would do it more actually.

But the problem here is these are 2 rooks that are going to a crap team, where do they have any room to talk about the greatest QB of all time.

jets fans are so depressed over this drft already..and they are going to take geno smith tonight...love it

Not sure why you love the Jets upgrading their QB position.

Because i feel that smith will never be a great QB in the NFL..average maybe..i just don't see it

He has 0...zero offensive weapons on their O

I'm not so sure Smith is really an upgrade over Sanchez. But there several reasons why they shouldn't do it.

1) You thought it was a zoo with Tebow last year. Just wait until Sanchez has a bad game (probably game 1) and all of New York will already be howling for Smith.

2) Smith is nowhere near being ready for the NFL. He needs alot of work. It would be a disaster for the Jets to throw him to the wolves.

3) Smith apparently has maturity problems. He pulled a temper tantrum because he wasn't drafted in the 1st round. And he publically went after a scout that had the audacity to give him negative reviews. How will he respond to the first criticism he gets in New York?

I saw a ton of Geno Smith. I hope he goes to the Jets. It will be a repeat of last year, only worse. And long term (3-4 years down the road), I don't see him ever being any better than an average starter in the league. There is a reason why he slipped out of the 1st round. Think about it - in a draft with very few 1st round rated guys (according to the scouts), and a handful of teams in desperate need of a QB, he still didn't get drafted in day 1.....where QBs are almost always overdrafted.

did either guy check the jets offensive roster?

how the hell are they even going to get a decent practice in?

this is the current starting lineup:
QB - sanchez
RB - goodson
FB - hilliard
WR - holmes
WR - hill
TE - cumberland
OL - ferguson
OG - colon
C - mangold
OG - ducasse
OT - howard

what are we talking? maybe 10 points a game?
On a related note, the competition committee is looking into creating a "mercy" rule that can be instituted by the refs or coach of the losing team by mid way through the 3rd quarter.

I see this is a jab at the Patriots and trying to keep their statistics down.

My point still stands. Regardless of talent, experience or accomplishment trash talking is only going to get more prevalent. Time to accept that fact and ignore the trash talk. Trying to put a logic to it is only going to drive you crazy.

You guys always over react to this crap.
When do you expect them to trash talk. Get it in now, guys.

Geno Smith, to me, looks like he's going to be a lighter, quicker version of Jamarcus at the NFL level. Needless to say, I hope he goes to the Jets.

Maybe after they've played a down in the NFL.

If that is the case, then I'm all for it! :D

I'm not going to carry myself as an SEC expert at all. But I do watch my fair share of SEC football. I'm curious as to what point before the draft that Milliner became the next Darrelle Revis? He's a solid corner, no doubt. He had an excellent championship game, no doubt. But, before that, he did very little to convince me that he was the next big thing at the CB position.

he is a media fabrication just like Floyd.

Yawn.

They are Jets.

They talk.

They fit right in.

If one of them had said something like, "I'm just happy to have been picked in the First Round. I respect Tom Brady and every QB in the Division. I'll have to do my talking on the field." Now, THAT would have been news. On the other hand, the guy who would say that wouldn't have been drafted by Wrecks, Woody and Co., Inc.

I haven't watched a ton of WV games, but in what I have seen I can't say I agree. He seems to be a pretty good pocket passer from what I have seen. He has decent arm strength and damn good accuracy. I'm not sure how great he is reading defenses, but then again he seemed to just feed Tavon Austin (who wouldn't?).

I'm actually pissed the Jets drafted him, because I like him as a player. I was pulling for the Eagles to pick him up, because it seemed like it'd be a good fit. Now, he'll either be a thorn in the Patriots side (less likely) or the Jets will **** him up with bad coaching (more likely).

Milliner on facing Tom Brady: "I hope I get my hands on a couple of his balls and take them back."

Pete Shepherd's reply: "Back where? Back to my house? Please tell me you'll take Tom Brady's balls back to my house."

Haha, well you got your wish.
