I hope the Pats pick Da'Rick Rogers and Jordan Reed in that order. I think CB is not as much of a pressing need as people make it out to be. Talib, Dennard, Dowling, Arrington are solid if unimpressive. I don't see how adding a 5th CB helps that any. With McCourty and Wilson, and I think S is a bigger need, but they can grab one in the 3rd.

Why on God's green earth is CB not a pressing a need, yet you're taking a TE????

I agree TE is not a pressing need at all. But when you look at Jordan Reed, you can't help but see Aaron Hernandez. The more weapons on offense, the better and the more versatile you can be. Grab a DB and a DE in the 3rd, and call it a day.

They target Woods. If he gets scooped up, then Dobson gets the nod.

I like Dobson with that second pick they have.. he should def be there :rocker:

CB is less of a problem if you get a nasty pass rush and there's a lot of good pass rushers still on the board.

but they only have one chance for jessie williams.......guys like hankins don't match their need......

they can get jordan reed in rd3 to replace the TE that left

Ya and they pick 2nd in the round so they may even throw a pick at the Jaguars just to swap spots.

Then they have their 2nd of the round and could use some more of their picks to jump up to get Ertz.

Cousin , they already have two picks in the second?
DW Toys

I meant to say trade up in the 2nd using their lower 2nd round pick and some other picks to move up from 61.

My Round 2 Prediction...

52. Traded to Bengals for #55, #156, #197
55. Robert Woods WR USC
59. Traded to Ravens for #62, and #129
62. Sio Moore OLB UCONN

3rd Round.

83. Tyrann Mathieu CB LSU
91. Barrett Jones OG Alabama

Poor Geno. From bad to worse:

Jets have made calls today to multiple teams to try to move up from 39th spot in second round to draft QB. Debated Geno Smith at No. 13.

And a possible spot for us:

The Lions are actively shopping the 36th overall pick. Perhaps someone wants a QB there. Time will tell

Would take 52+83 with maybe getting a 6th or 7th back.

I remember your "source" said they were very high on Dobson. He's been one of my favorites for a while. Has your "source" said anything about WR Ryan Swope ? Your answer on this will prove to me whether your "source" knows his stuff or not.

Why on God's green earth is CB not a pressing a need, yet you're taking a TE????

because Jordan Reed is another Hernandez....if you're going to count on a scheme, you need more than 1 guy who can execute against it......

given the regularity with which both Gronk and Ahern experience cramps, having a TE group of Ballard,Gronk,Ahern,Reed would be very sound policy

also, I'm not sure you have space for another CB, especially if Dowling doesn't get hurt again....
Talib
Dennard
Arrington
Dowling
Mccourty (If Wilson/Wilson/Gregory are there)

trading up in 2nd to take CB or WR

I think they'll be a run on DB's in Rd 2 so Pats will have to move up in order to get one or another position. My feeling is that we will see WR and CB and maybe even two WR's in day two.

While I agree that having depth at key positions is vital, you don't use high picks for guys that are strictly depth. Remember, Hernandez and Gronk are both signed long term, so any TE drafted is never going to crack the starting lineup, unless hes a stud.

its just a very poor use of limited resources. Now, taking a flyer on a TE late? Great.

83. Tyrann Mathieu CB LSU

Why does everyone want someone who is 5'8 and got kicked out of school for failing too many drug tests and hasn't played football in a year?

I don't buy the "he's a playmaker" bullsh-t and I don't want him near my team. Let the Bengals or Rams draft him.
