here's how I think round 2 is going to play out:
33 - Jax - QB Geno Smith
34 - SF - NT Jessie Williams
35 - Phi - DE Damontre Moore
36 - Det - OT Menelik Watson
37 - Cin - RB Eddie Lacy
38 - Az - S John Cyprien
39 - NYJ - TE Zach Ertz
40 - Ten - DE Alex Okafor
41 -Buf - WR Keenan Allen
42 - Oak - LB Arthur Brown
43 - TB - WR Quinton Patton
44 - Car - OG Larry Worford
45 - SD - OT Terron Armstead
46 - Buf - OT Dallas Thomas
47 - Dal - RB Montee Ball
48 - Pit - CB Jamar Taylor
49 - NYG - DE Cornelius Carradine
50 - Chi - LB Manti Te'o
51 - Was - CB Jonathan Banks
52 - NWE - WR Robert Woods
53 - Cin - LB Kevin Minter
54 - Mia - CB Robert Alford
55 - GB - RB Joseph Randle
56 - Sea - OT Oday Aboushi
57 - Hou - LB Jon Bostic
58 - Den - DT Jonathan Hankins
59 - NWE - DE Margus Hunt
60 - Atl - DE/OLB Cornelius Washington
61 - SF - WR Terrance Williams
62 - Bal - LB Khaseem Greene

Do you think there's a good chance we can stay where we are and get a WR like Woods or are we going to trade up?

I hope there will be more QB's taken in round 2.

I think there's 1) a good chance Woods is rated ahead of Allen now and 2) the Panthers go WR. If we want one of allen, Woods or Hunter, I think a trade up of some drgree will be needed.

quite a few teams have to address issues that do not include WR.......went through team needs when I did this, and combined it with player ranking.....

one thing is for sure.....there aren't enough OL's to address the needs of all the teams......there's a potential for more OL reaches more than anything.....

you could also see fragel, jones, winters, holmes all move into the 2nd round also......

another point is that there are as-capable WR's still on the board including swope, wheaton, hunter, bailey rogers......I'd have no problem taking wheaton instead of woods.....I also think that swope will be the most productive of the bunch

I think we make 3 picks: Woods/Hunter, Carradine, and Banks. No specific order.

After the draft we sign Abraham.

Evan Silva has us taking Margus Hunt at 52 and Keenan Allen at 59. But, Robert Woods could be had instead of Allen. Has him going 62.

I disagree with some of his sentiments.....the 9ers need an NT much more than a TE....sopoaga is gone and justin smith is 33....this is so much of a no brainer, if I was the Jags GM, I would extort a draft pick just to not take him

Nassib poses the same risks as gabbert........geno smith changes that up......gives 'em scheme flexibility

AZ lost every safety that played last year

I think there is about a 99.5 percent chance the 49ers are trading into the 2nd today. So they'll get their TE and NT

but they only have one chance for jessie williams.......guys like hankins don't match their need......

they can get jordan reed in rd3 to replace the TE that left

Would be impressed by this Draft or Silva's. Some Cousins on this forum discount Hunt, but if you look back, DE Michael Johnson of the Bengals whom they franchised, was the Pats first choice FA target according to media reports. They have the same skillset.

Johnson was my binkaroo and he turned out to be a stud. So there is a pattern as to why the Pats might have interest in Hunt.

BB has I am sure watched the propensity of good players like a J.J. Watt blocking passes. The 6' 8" Hunt is not J.J. Watt but can be effective. Hunt is important to Special Teams as well. Check his blocked kicks numbers. Correct me if I am wrong, but he is faster than any of out starting LBs at 4.6 in the 40. Like Solder, Hunt has had minimal contact with the Team (so he says).

Cousin , they already have two picks in the second?

I think the 49ers could take John Jenkins, Montori Hughes or Brandon Williams for that NT role. I don't disagree that Jesse Williams is a nice fit but Zach Ertz is a particularly nice fit. I could see the 49ers trading up for a 3rd second rounder and getting Ertz/Hunt/NT.

I've seen it strongly rumoured that the Jags aren't going QB but will pick Cyprien. Makes some sense if they're targeting BPA as the Joeckel pick suggests.

It's a good mock though and we'll find out soon enough.

I disagree......I don't think Ertz is the guy for their pistol offense......especially since they already have vernon davis......I think Jordan Reed would be a better fit and a better Value for them.

and none of those NT's you mentioned has Williams' mobility.......the inability to replace sopoaga would be a pretty big step backwards for this team

NT is a very difficult position to fill. SF should take Jesse Williams.

PFT has the Pats taking Robert Woods & Barrett Jones...the Jones pick would be fine apart from Carradine is the very next pick:

Round Two Mock Draft | ProFootballTalk

if both woods and allen are available at 52, I would take margus hunt......either woods or allen will be available at 59

hell......I would even consider taking both woods and allen......the actually complement each other pretty well

I hope the Pats pick Da'Rick Rogers and Jordan Reed in that order. I think CB is not as much of a pressing need as people make it out to be. Talib, Dennard, Dowling, Arrington are solid if unimpressive. I don't see how adding a 5th CB helps that any. With McCourty and Wilson, and I think S is a bigger need, but they can grab one in the 3rd.

If the draft shakes out like that I will be very happy. I hope we get a DE and a WR in the second. If we can get one player out of the following two groups I'll be excited.

DE-Hunt, Carradine, Moore
WR- Woods, Allen, Hunter, Williams, Wheaton

They target Woods. If he gets scooped up, then Dobson gets the nod.
