Manxman's Day Two Predictions

Also wondering whether the Mallet rumors will go full bore here. The Pats would probably love another 2nd rounder for him. With all of the QB's left though, it'll take a team that
a) doesnt like the QB's left
&/or
b) doesn't think it'll be able to access the QB(s) it likes with it's remaining picks
&
c) likes Mallet enough to pay BB's Iron Price for him

BB has no need the Trade Mallet now...he will be Brady's Heir apparent. Brady had three years tops remaining baring injuries.

Interesting. Mallett for Sheard.. I don't think much of Mallett but who plays backup QB in this scenario? I would lean towards signing Abraham.

As long ad the Pats don't screw up my picks for give Pats Fans draft contest they can hi in any direction they want :)

Working my second round mock now (since I did so well with last night). My early prediction is that three QBs go off the board in the first 6 picks.

This guy Evan Silva has us taking;

2a Margus Hunt - DE - SMU - Love it.

2b Keenan Allen - WR - Cal - Robert Woods still on board

3a Markus Wheaton - WR - Ore St - Anyone know a Dr. if it lasts longer than 4 hours?

3b Sanders Cuomings - CB - Georgia - Alford, McFadden and Amerson still there

4 Didn't pick a guy. But, looks like Khaseem Greene is still there.

Shaping up to have a very good day IMO.

That's a great mock. Take Lattimore at 4 and it's pretty much perfect.

They have Kafka on the roster already and they could sign a number of UDFA QB's like Tuel, Renfree, Kalich or wait until the 4th, 5th and take a faller like Landry Jones or Tyler Wilson.

I want da'rick Rogers in the 3rd

I want da'rick Rogers in the 3rd

Get off my binkie Leemo:mad:;) I want him in the 2nd...too good a talent to pass up and much better than the Guy the Vikings took.

Another prediction -- This is the last year Mike Mayock works with Rich Eisen on the draft. From the #20 pick or so onwards, it looked like he wanted to throttle him a little bit more every time he opened his mouth. By pick #30, he wasn't acknowledging him except to shake his head.

Can see a couple of scenario's playing out here.

Either they really liked a wr and they will trade up for one.

Or they like someone like a particular DE/DT/CB and will trade up and stay pat for a wr with their other 2nd.

I'm kind of on the edge of my seat on this. I like both scenario's.

I mean getting Carradine with a combination of either Woods,Allen,Patton,Wheaton,Rodgers or Dobson is still a draft I could absolutely love.

I just don't understand how someone can not like the position we are in. I love having that 4th rounder back. Of all the trades that one bothered me the most last season and now it's like dust in the wind. They now have the luxury of getting Lattimore if he's there. He would of been the only runningback off the board in round 1. They can actually let him sit a year to recover.

Having that extra 7th allows us move up for a player like David Baas in the 6th. This is one pick I almost bet the farm BB is going to make this weekend if he doesn't get picked in the 5th.

In that case BB should make a "Master scout thing" so Mayock's knowledge stays at FoxB :D

Two other possibilities:

1. Corey Lemonier in round 3. Lengthy pass rusher who they've had some contact with. Michael Buchanan on day 3 is similar too.

2. Terrance Williams: Pats were scouting Baylor heavily early in the season. If they want that tall receiver and don't want to trade up, Williams could be a possibility.

My list goes like this... we should look at ALL of these guys, obviously alot will go before our pick though

gil Brandt says the Jags are going with Johnthan Banks @ 33 and 3 QBs will go before 39 incl. Jets and Eagles. Hope so, that's 4 down 15 to go to get Woods etc to #52.

Edit: And he says Ertz to 49ers. 5 down, 14 to go :D

I did not notice that. Was Rich giving him crap for not predicting correctly or something? Eisen did jab Mariucci about the Joey Harrington pick at the beginning of the telecast.

Mayock was annoyed that Eisen couldn't go 11 seconds without mentioning ManteTe'oGenoSmith. Cue every single pick from Chicago on --

Eisen: What about Manti Te'o here? Geno Smith keeps falling. People want to know about Te'o. He's a story. Te'o Te'o Te'o Geno Te'o Manti Smith Geno Te'o? Te'o Te'o Te'o. Teeeeeeee'o...me say Teeeeeeee'o. Manti come and me want to go home. Te'o Rama Lama. Te'o Rama Lama Ding Dong. We're in the Te'o Zone. Highway to the Te'o Zone. Is it Te'o Time? Geno Geno Geno. Papa Geno. Let's not forget Geno is still in the Green Room. How about a cutaway shot to Hawai'i? Do you know who lives in Hawai'i? Manti Te'o does. In fact, he's here right now. RIGHT NOW! You go Te'o!

52. Carradine
59. Wheaton
83. Dobson
91. Barrett Jones or Mathieu. I think with the lack of lineman Jones is going in the 2nd.
103. Leon McFadden or Lattimore with a trade back

with the later picks I want to move into the 6th and get David Baas
