John Abraham and Charles Woodson

The end of the Jake Bequette era?! We just drafted him a year ago. He was considered raw. I think he needed a year in the weight room.

We fans have unreasonable expectations these days.

Produce in year one or you're out...

Honestly I don't know much about Bequette, he had a pretty good college career but I have a bias against draft picks. The majority of picks are lucky to make a minimal contribution to an NFL roster.

I look over and see Abraham had 10+ sacks at the age of 72. It would be a mild upset if Bequette gets 10 sacks in his career (based on the historical impact of 3rd round defensive ends)

Usually I'm willing to give rookies until their 3rd game to either show they're worth a roster spot or just dump them. If they need anymore time than that, it's just not going to happen for them.

;)

I had a feeling the draft wouldn't be the most exciting part of our offseason.

Loving this move. Hope it gets done.

Funny stuff, maybe big Jake becomes a player but odds are he won't. With this QB and this coach I don't want a roster full of youth and potential, I want to win now.

I would trade one more Superbowl and 5 years of no playoffs for 6 more Norris division banners.

I am sure others feel differently.

It would mark the only time that Belichick gave up on a high (rounds 1-3) pick after only one season. I highly doubt they are even close to giving up on Jake Bequette at this point in time.

Kevin O'Connell didn't make it to the end of his 2nd training camp, so there is precedent. I wish I had forgotten about that myself....

i think bequette is gonna surprise some people this year

Excellent catch.

I stand corrected. You're right, O'Connell was cut at the end of TC in 2009.

Tucking Fitans.

Oh, please no - and if he signs there, Loyko goes into Erika Leigh territory...

Abraham is the missing piece, imo. Not Freeney, but Abraham.

ok, i really have to ask now. whats up with this erika leigh hatred?? dont get it. did i miss something?

From my observation, she dribbles endless amounts of crap on Twitter with little to no substance. She's become the new and female version of incarcerated bob (everyone's favorite bull**** artist).
