Always a staple at this time of year, Bob McGinn @ jsonline reveals what scouts have to say about prospects. Here they are on the OL prospects - certainly relevant considering the number we've looked at pre-draft:

Rating the NFL draft prospects: Offensive linemen

I had Justin Pugh in my last mock so I thought this was noticeable:

Graduated with a degree in finance in 3 ½ years. "One of the smartest guys I've (scouted) in 12 years," another scout said. "Like a coach on the field."

I love Pugh. Just not sure we'd take another Guard that high. His interview on Sirius was great, he said when he showed up at Syracuse he was so weak his nickname was Pugh-ny (puny). Also fellow Orangeman Chandler Jones is one of his best friends.

FWIW, they were asking some OL on the radio in the last week or so, "Is there anyone you'd have trouble moving one-on-one?"

The first name that came to the player's mind. . . . Vince Wilfork. :rocker:

big fan of kawann short and tank carradine i hope we can get those 2 studs somehow to make our d line nasty

Is there any way Barret Jones does not end up on this team?

Many, many ways, most of them involving the selection of multiple WRs and defenders in the first three rounds. :)

For the record I'm not saying draft him he just seems like a player bred for BB and Scar. For that matter so does Pugh

*cough* Barwin *cough* :(

The good thing (for us) is that Barrett Jones is dropping and may be available in the 4th, possibly 5th round due to his injury. He probably won't be ready for camp and is a likely PUP candidate so teams wont want to draft him high. There must a curse of top rated C's in the draft, Kris O'Dowd, Mike Brewster, Khaled Holmes and Barrett Jones were all at one time considered the top C in their draft class and fell badly. O'Dowd and Brewster went undrafted and we will have to wait and see where Jones and Holmes go.
