Long time coming.

The Patriots have released defensive lineman Myron Pryor.

Started out looking like he was going to be a decent role player on the DL. Nagging injuries have taken their toll and the team has decided to move on. Best of luck to Mr. Pryor in his future endeavors, be it in the NFL or elsewhere.

Trying to be surprised by this...not working out so well.

Never thought a guy with a first name like 'Myron' was ever going to amount to something special.

Long overdue. The guy needs to get his healther in order. He has back issues and his ridiculous pop belly did him no favors. He was simply too fat for his body frame.

Best of luck Myron

I always thought you were hard done by getting fined for that hit on Favre.

I hope you get healthy soon.

That fine was ridiculous. I'll always have a soft spot for Pryor for whacking Favre (legally) like that.

Well we've cleared a spot on IR with this move.

The writing was on the wall with the recent machinations, I guess. Though, I'd hope he would get one last shot to prove himself with the Patriots.

He started out great.

Obviously no team willing to part with a seventh round pick for him. Sure the Patriots must have made offers the past week.

He may not have passed his physical prior to working out.

This gotta be it. We don't discard the rare appearances of guys who can actually rush the passer.

I was thinking the same thing. Either that or he didn't show up at all for "voluntary" activities...

I think it's pretty obvious he showed up fat and out of shape so they decided to cut loose.

I don't know why that bothers me so much. But just in general, I can't stand when people refer to a sports player with Mr. in front. I'm sorry, I was just about to hit the like button and now I can't justify doing so.

I'm only surprised that it took this long. Still, best of luck to him going forward.

Yea, no suprise here. If only the guy could've stayed healthy:(
