Are their any parties or draft functions that anyone has heard of outside of the stadium or Vince's event. I live in New Bedford area but would travel for the right event. We've also talked about something in our area if anyone in this area has interest.

As I'm in England (UK) the draft will start at 1am on Friday morning. Got Friday booked off work, will watch EVERY day on NFL Network, no party but it will be as enjoyable for me.

I'm in the U.K. too. I've taken the whole week off, am subscribed too NFL Network and will spend three days (nights) vegitating in front of my computer. Am expecting mushrooms to be growing on some part of my body by Sunday.

same for me! :D

No party here in Australia either but I've taken all weekend off for the draft. Round 1 starts Friday morning here which is okay but day 3 is usually a nightmare time wise. I feel for you UK guys, the time zones must be a killer. All worth it though, the draft is like a sport in itself.

I think this year could be a four day draft because I think we'll be quite active in UDFA. There's some pretty interesting guys there too.

That's true, but I think the chances of the Pats making a 1st round pick is pretty slim, so day 1 will be really disappointing for some people. Especially if they are having draft parties, I know a lot of people have complained about that in the past.

The first round is interesting for it's own sake so it doesn't worry me (and it would mean a better day two and three).

I remember last year after the high of day one, day two was such a let down (at the time) with the Tavon Wilson pick and the trade downs. It was saved at the end somewhat by the Bequette pick. Hoping for an exciting day two this year.

ill be flying back home to boston on saturday so hopefully i can catch the 2nd and 3rd rounds cant wait for the draft this year

I would assume from the username that he's from the Isle of Man?

Live in Portsmouth but claim the Isle of Man as my home (long story). Proud of both my English and Manx roots. Only ever been to Boston on honeymoon.

Draft time is exciting for me but I don't like the way it is dragged out.
This year will be a little frustrating due to the lack of picks. Day one, we
will wait all evening only to have them trade the pick. Day two, there
will be 2 or 3 picks. We will be disappointed when they haven't drafted
any WRs. Day three, we will wait again and they will pick two special teams players who have never started a single game. Right after the draft, we will be excited when UDFAs begin to be signed.

The draft is my favorite sports event of the year. No one understands it.

I will watch it on my computer intently over all three days while my friends/housemates regard me with curiosity.

Draft day....no stress of game day, yet, we sit by and watch our team get stronger.

Watching BB play the draft has been awesome to observe over the past decade plus.

Draft day(s) are such a great way to be a couch potato and look like you are really following your sport with nearly the same passion as a game day.

Gotta love it, each and every wasted hour!!
