If NE has any use for those guys they should change their titles to alchemist.

Arrington always struck me as all hat, no cattle: great speed, nice muscles, but usually looks confused as he overruns another play.

I thought Arrington was playing pretty well for the Giants until he went down to an injury, the Giants defense was pretty damn good.
If BB thought LA had the right attitude and aquired him, I would be psyched.
Don't know anything about Pettigout, though.

He's overly aggressive, but that's going too far. He made a ton of plays at PSU, then he was completely miscast in the pros as a strongside guy.

Petitgout may make a good swing tackle, but he's got an injury history.

arrington is a 4-3 linebacker. hes good at pass rushing. sucks in coverage which is what we need from our lbs. we need 3-4 guys. kato june type players.

The Redskins are high on Arrington. I don't expect the Patriots would get into, let alone win, a bidding war for him.

If healthy, Petitgout is certainly worth signing, but some team will probably offer him starting-LT money. The pats would probably offer only backup-LT money.

I, instead, would like to know what Carlos Emmons has left in the tank.

Arrington? Yes, but only for vet minimum plus incentives money.

are u stupid? Cato June is 220 pounds..hes not anything a 3-4 LB is. Arrington is good in coverage actually and he fits the 3-4

No, no, no, no, no.

I'm not sure either, but Mike Florio was on D&C this morning and was pretty convinced the Redskins were willing to pay a lot to get him back.

Hey, its the Redskins - are you actually expecting logic?

are u stupid? cato june is the same size as izzo and some of our younger lbs. hes a speedy guy who can cover. do me a favor smart ass, go back and check to see if arrington has ever..ever played in a 3-4 defense. cause he never has. last year arrington came in on 3rd and long plays for the giants so they could get pressure, i never saw him in coverage for the giants. june at least has experience in the cover 2, so he has coverage skills. its complety different. not to mention what the point would be of signing an old, malcontent, linebacker to our already older group.

Overly aggressive guys sometimes overrun plays. Overrunning plays means you end up on the bench.

Maybe Arrington was miscast. But PSU is a long time ago. And we all know what Gerry Glanville said NFL stands for . . . Not For Long, baby.

The Redskins only offer to Arrington would be to pay him to never wear a Redskins' uniform again. Joe Gibbs is so low on this guy that he wouldn't make him a waterboy if Arrignton offered to pay to be one.

Arrington was benched because he did not fit into the Redskins' system because he was too undisciplined. Arrington went on ESPN and complained about his playing time. Arrington offered to give back a $4 million bonus to be released by the Redskins and the Redskins happily agreed.

One place where Arrington definitely won't be next season is in Washington. Hopefully, he won't be in New England either. The Pats' defense like the Redskins' is all about discipline and Arrington has none.

I don't want Arrington. The only way I would want June is if he was willing to convert to strong safety and be compensated. He is too small for the Pats' defense. You mention Izzo, but how often does Izzo play defense? Izzo is a special teams player only. Monty Beisel was bigger than June and one of his biggest problems was that he couldn't take on blocks from guards. He could never handle the gap responsibilities of a Patriots ILB.

I think June could actually be a very good SS for us. He would be a horrible ILB for us. I doubt he would ever convert to SS so I seriously doubt he would ever be a Patriot.

Arrignton - If Arrington came in to compete for the 3rd OLB position and would play special teams and would play for $1M per year, Sure.

Edmonds - Sounds like a Gartner type player, if healthy this type of player could be brought into camp to compete for the 4th ILB position.

Petitgout's achilles heal was that his head wasn't in with it at times(i.e. the false starts)-however, he is very under-rated, IMHO. An excellent pass blocker, and Tiki's favorite place to run was on HIS side.

When he went down, I noticed the Giants would get away from the run more than expected.
