I caved in and bought an Amendola jersey

I actually enjoy my 'moved on' player jerseys. They're really nothing to be bummed out about.

a word of advice...you're probably better off if you leave that Tony Eason jersey in the gym bag at home...if you ever come down here to the South Shore sporting that beaut...well...I wouldn't want to entertain the level of carnage that MAY occur....

Fortunately, he is before my time. I refer to Moss, Welker, Samuel, and Seymour

Indeed, you are a most fortunate Patriot fan...I still bear the deep wounds and cavernous scars on my psyche from the exploits of Champagne Tony....

now remember Tony...five step drop...duck ..and curl...duck and curl...got it???

I got a sneak peak of Amendola's new Patriots jersey and took a picture of it.

I hear 83 is currently not used.:bricks:

What was not to like about Tony "Happy Feet" Eason?

He remains the only QB to EVER start in a Super Bowl and have no TD pass. That is a record that may never be broken!

(Edit: Yes, that was sarcasm.)

Think my next jersey will be someone from the D side of the ball. Jones maybe or spikes if he gets extended

If Edelman doesn't come back, I'd expect Amendola to get #11. It's the only available number that he's worn at any point during his career (11, 16, 18, 20). Maybe Aiken will give him 16. I definitely wouldn't buy an Amendola jersey because his number will probably change at some point.

You have it mixed up it was complete a pass. Other starting QB's have not thrown a TD pass in the Super Bowl.

Namath,Unitas,Kapp,Griese(2x),Kilmer,Tarkenton(2x),Morton,Ferragamo,Eason, Theisman,Esiason,Elway(2x),Kelly(3x),McNair,Collins,Roethlisberger all had starts with no TD's thrown

I have one authentic -- the silver Pats jersey. I had my high school number put on it and PATRIOTS on the nameplate, so it'll never become obsolete. I bought my fiancee a Welker jersey three years ago that she doesn't want to wear now that Wes is gone. That really sucks for fans when they own jerseys of favorite players who leave.

I'm in the process of trying to find my wife a jersey to replace her Welker jersey as well. I wonder if NFL shop will give us a discount, lol...

My advice if you want a player name on a jersey and don't want to worry about having become "obsolete"? Pick a great, even a recent one, that retired a Pat and get a custom jersey with that on it.

I have a red Faulk throwback jersey and it is probably my treasured possession among my jerseys, which include:

Bruschi (another great one)
Brown (another great one)
Welker
Woodhead
Milloy
Bledsoe

Usually, when I buy a jersey of a current player, they're gone within two years. I just buy the great and retired ones now.

Yeah I still have my Vrabel jersey. Now its more of a Ninkovich jersey if you catch my drift.

I'll probably be getting his jersey, too. Not sure if it'll be authentic or a replica, though. I wanna wait a little after the regular season starts, just to see how he plays on this team.

I'm probably buying an Amendola shirt but, I'm gonna wait til he picks his number.

I would wait until Glassadola makes it through training camp.

Do you have a gronk or hernandez jersey?...i would get them before amendola given his ability to not be on the field..but we will see

If you're going to use examples of players not being on the field, 2 of the worst examples you could have used were the Tight ends.

Amendola will end up wearing 16.

I'd be astonished if a practice squader/camp fodder gets the number over him.
