Anyone been tuning into EEI's Salk and Holley instead of Felger and Mazz?

I wonder if they could get away with having JUST Holley. I liked the rotational hosts they did in the interim between Ordway and Salk. It was far friendlier and far more interesting than either the predecessor or the incumbent.

I must be in the minority cuz I enjoy Felger. You need a 'villian' because it keeps the talk interesting. I honestly believe that he takes the negative view a little further than maybe even he believes because he knows it makes for better radio. If you are pissed off and impassioned by what he says, positive or negative, then he's done his job. .

I know the SoSH guys love him because they're the smartest guys in the room and they think he's a "hard hitting sports reporter", but that term is an oxymoron. Hard hitting sports guy?? Huh?? It's sports!!!

This is not to say that there's no value in a reporter/radio host calling out a team when they need to, but when the guy is just copying Borges' approach and going counter to everything the team does, it just comes across as tired and lame.

It's not the Big Show anymore...it is the Little Show and it sux. Jason Wolfe has destroyed the WEEI evening commute. He has been callously moving people around without any regard for employee loyalty or seniority as if they are chess pieces and in process destroyed a great show.

Sirius XM NFL radio for me. At least, they talk football. Pat Kirwin's show is the best sports talk on air, IMO.

Yeah, Felgie's a regular scream. He thinks Belichick is over-rated, Brady has become a choke-artist, Kraft is a fraud and the Jets are a model franchise. These are all opinions I have heard "Felgie" express verbatim on more than one occasion. He's clearly worth worshipping, which is what all of his cult members do. He's a lazy phony who has decided, correctly, that disparaging and insulting people who aren't around to defend themselves is an easy way to do business. He's famous for ripping people and then when those people are speaking with him directly, he "turtles." He's the gutless fraud.

Ordway was annoying and yet Salk is worse. He's a pompous arrogant blowhard who loves to listen to himself talk. He doesn't do the show he processes it. Tries to put everything in a neat basket to get processed and then he moves on from it.

Seriously this guy needs a rude awakening ... I'm expecting their ratings numbers to go down. I'd rather hear Holley with Sheppard of even Minahan. When you think you're the smartest guy in the room you actually are the biggest azzhole in the room. Sports is a topic to be discussed ... a bunch of opinions ... Salk lectures ... even talks down to Holley who so far is doing his best to hold it all together. No way Holley likes this blowhard ... no way. Jason Wolfe will be the one beating his meat when this mess is over.

Felger's not entertaining. Mazz is the entertainment. Felger's the straight man who sets up the gripes of the day.

I can not stand Toucher and Rich anymore. They just come off as bitter, failed comedians who think they are much more intelligent than their audience and are devastated that they happen to be in charge of a sports show. I'm a Zevon fan so I dig sardonic, cynical humor, but these guys are just joyless aholes. I'll admit I get a kick out of some of their bits but overall I find them unlistenable.

Dennis and Callahan are no better; entire shows consisting of seemingly never-ending segments on local politics and SportsCenter recaps at best as far as sports content goes. If they didn't have the rights to such awesome Patriots interviews, they'd be off my radar entirely.

Sickeningly, I tune into Mike and Mike when I am not in the mood to listen to tunes. Their forced buffoonery to feign comedy is nauseating but at least they are discussing sports and have great guests.

My favorite Boston morning radio is my iPod tuned to Sticky Fingers.

Michael Holley is BY FAR my favorite Boston sports radio personality but WEEI hasn't found a way to utilize his talent appropriately since he was paired with Dale. If EEI brought back Dale and Holley I'd listen no matter what time of day it was on.
