New England Patriots Tight End Aaron Hernandez in Trouble?

The Gronk is not the only show in town for the Patriots. In fact, I would go as far as to say that he owes a lot of his success to the other--quieter--tight end on the Patriots squad, Aaron Hernandez. Both are top notch, No. 1 options for a passing game. When they are actually healthy and on the field at the same time matching up with them defensively is challenging to say the least.

If a certain situation that Hernandez is embroiled in does not get cleared up who knows if the dynamic duo will be putting their wonder twin powers together next season.

TerezOwens.com has posted a short story that alludes to the possibility that Hernandez may have a legal issue brewing in regards to some incident involving a gun/shooting. There is not much to go on right now with the story, but Terez was able to come across the following letter from a lawyer to Hernandez...

Who is Terez Owens, and when was the last time they reported something that was true? Seriously looking at this website it looks like some celebrity gossip crap. All this site does is post pictures of athletes doing stuff, this was the only actual journalistic thing i saw in the first 4 pages and all they had to run it on was an anonymous tip and screen shot of a letter?

How they hell did that crap site get a hold of that letter? That's the most disturbing part.

Personal injury attorneys are really the most despicable human beings imaginable. The letter was pretty obviously 'leaked' to this ridiculous site (shooting, really?) as a way to compel Hernandez to pay up and make it go away. It's a shakedown tactic, nothing more.

I still don't get how he might be in trouble. Could he potentially have to pay money in a lawsuit? Possibly. Face criminal charges? Not likely.

Seriously, no DA is going to press charges against a high profile athlete when there is clearly a paper trail of the victim trying to get money for his/her silence on the matter prior to filing charges. So even if Hernandez is guilty of something, there would need to be clear, unimpeachable evidence of his guilt at this point for the DA to press charges.
