There has been a lot of good talk about the WR's in this years draft, and I thought it might be nice to get a thread going where people can rank their favorite WR's and what round you think they will/should go.

I am going to omit from mine Patterson and Austin because I just don't believe the Patriots have a chance to get them.

1. Keenan Allen (late 1st)

2. DeAndre Hopkins (late 1st, early 2nd)

3. Quinton Patton ( second, probably have to trade up)

4. Markus Wheaton (2nd)

5. Stedman Bailey (3rd)

6. Da'Rick Rodgers (3rd/4th)

7. Aaron Dobson (4th)

1. Keenan Allen(late 1st)

2. Quinton Patton(2nd)

3. Da'Rick Rogers(3rd)

4. Robert Woods(late 2nd)

5. Corey Fuller(5th)

1. Quinton Patton
2. Keenan Allen
3. Markus Wheaton
4. Deandre Hopkins
5. Da'rick Rogers
6. Ryan Swope

everyone else

1 - Tavon Austin (the next Percy Harvin)
2 - DeAndre Hopkins
3 - Cordarelle Patterson
4 - Robert Woods
5 - Terrance Williams
6 - Quinton Patton
7 - Markus Wheaton
8 - Aaron Dobson
9 - Ryan Swope
10 - Stedman Bailey

Ideally - I would like to see the Pats get Terrance Williams in the 2nd round. He would be a solid addition to the Pats vertical game.

1) DeAndre Hopkins
2) Ryan Swope
3) Keenan Allen
4) Da'Rick Rogers
5) Robert Woods

I prefer to look at them by specific type of WR because I think they really are different positions.

X Receivers

1. DeAndre Hopkins
2. Quinton Patton
3. Da'Rick Rogers
4. Terrence Williams
5. Marquess Wilson
6. Aaron Dobson (wasn't impressed)

Z Receivers

1. Justin Hunter
2. Markus Wheaton
3. Robert Woods
4. Terrence Williams

Y Receivers

1. Keenan Allen
2. Robert Woods
3. Stedman Bailey
4. Tavon Austin
5. Ryan Swope

I think we definitely need 1 X reciever and another outside guy (either X or Z) in the first 3 rounds. I don't have any interest in a Y receiver before the late 3rd. Unfortunately I think we will probably take a tweener guy like Kenny Stills instead of a legitimate outside guy.

1. Markus Wheaton

2. Markus Wheaton

3. Markus Wheaton

4. :D

Or more seriously:

1. Markus Wheaton

2. DeAndre Hopkins

3. Robert Woods

4. Quinton Patton

5. Chris Harper

6. Marquess Wilson

7. Courtney Gardner

There are others I'd be fine with, but these are the ones I think give us the type of upside we need.

Excluding Austin & Patterson,

DeAndre Hopkins
Markus Wheaton
Quinton Patton
are the WRs in whom I would invest our first pick.

Keenan Allen
Robert Woods
Justin Hunter
are those in whom I would invest our second pick.

Aaron Dobson
Terrance Williams
Da'Rick Rogers
are those in whom I would invest our third pick.

In order of absolute preference.

Split end:
Keenan Allen
De'Andre Hopkins
Da'Rick Rogers
Chris Harper

Flanker:
Quinton Patton
Markus Wheaton
Robert Woods
Justin Hunter

I don't want any part of a slot receiver in the early rounds.

Great list. I really think an X type is our biggest need, too. We already have A Hernandez who is capable of playing the Z spot. I'm warming up to DeAndre Hopkins more and more lately but I still think I like Patton the best. If an X wasn't such a big need I'd be gushing about Robert Woods or Markus Wheaton.

Can i bother you for your opinion on Patton and Harper?

Someone on this board (I believe it was manxman) has me warming up to DeAndre Hopkins now that I'm looking at him as more of an Anquan Boldin type WR. I still think a guy like Robert Woods is more cerebral though and would be a better fit in our offense.

2. DeAndre Hopkins
3. Markus Wheaton

Three very nice choices.

I like us taking Hopkins at 29 if he is there.

What do you have against Hunter?

4. Tavarres King - seems to plays faster than the timed speed (4.47). Runs all the routes and gets wide open. Not just a deep threat.

Personal Favorites

Chris Harper Rd 3-4
Stedman Bailey Rd 2-3
DeAndre Hopkins Rd 1-2
T.J. Moe Rd 7-UDFA

Justin Hunter
Keenan Allen
Robert Woods
DeAndre Hopkins

All these guys can play on the outside for us.
