school cancelled in the central mass area. not too much snow, it's a sleety/icy mix. i got the day off from work. i'm not complaining

No snow here in Eastern New England. The city descends into chaos when there are a couple of inches.

About 5 inches of sleet.

its been snowing and rain/snow mixing all last night and still is in New Jersey. better clear up..gotta make my trip to Boston Friday

roughly 5 inches here in Albuquerque,New Mexico

We had a few inches this morning, then nothing. Now it's really starting to pick up here in York County, Maine. They are saying we should get a foot.

I'm home with a Flod virus anyway so no driving in it. May change to freezing rain then back to snow.

not to make the northerners feel any worse but 45 is 9 degrees below normal here! (In Raleigh at least.)

My wife was supposed to be flying back from a business trip to Albany, NY today. I guess we won't be seeing each other this Valentine's Day. :(

Sorry, foot as in TWELVE INCHES?????? WTF?

NYC's an icy mess. Just spoke to someone in DC who said ditto down there, with schools closing.

As someone who spent about five decades living in the suburbs of Boston I can tell you that is not at all unusual, especially in Northern New England. In Albany, NY (just west of Massachusetts border) they are getting a foot and a half. And yes, I think feet here are the same as they are in Jolly Old England. I believe you've gone to the metric system now; we're still stuck with the archaic system your forebears invented...

Let's see you solve this one for X: 5-5/8 inches x 3-9/16 inches x 3-11/32 is how many cubic feet? Divide that into 62.5 # of water per cubic foot, divide by 8 # per gallon of water, ok that container will hold X gallons. ;)

No snow here, temperature got to around 60 last night and it was pouring down rain.

Weird, in Cumberland County it's been snowing out of control since midnight.

Coincidentally, I also have a flu virus. Odd.

Where're you from patsnutme?

about 14 inches here in central PA. Cancelled all classes today! HAHA

carolinatony, I hope you didn't make this thread rub it in our face, because that would make me a very angry (and jealous) man.

Up in Boston we had about 3 inches of snow in the morning and since then (the past 9 hours) it's been ice bullets raining down on the masses. They sting, they come down at you fast and sideways, there are lots of them, and I hate the weather.

It is freezing down here, I don't even think that we got to 60 degrees today! I almost have to wear a coat! I can't wait until Spring in two weeks.

Welcome to the States. We get about 7 inches a few times a year in North Texas.. infact it snowed just a bit today, didn't stick though. It was 28 degrees at last check.

I can't remember the last time it was 28 degrees...maybe January.
