Dumervil going to Ravens

That's obnoxious logic. No team, in the free-agency era, can field a team without multiple, noticeable holes.

Baltimore? The D really isn't that bad, particularly the front-7, aside from MLB...

There's nothing wrong with the logic at all. They have a large number of quality starters to replace, and that's a tall order for any team.

Let's see, they lost 6 defensive players, all who started at some point in the season, 3 LB, 2 Safeties and 1 corner. Of their two remaining inside LBs, one is 37 years old. They still have plenty of issues......

They were terrible when Lewis was out, and not exactly dominating in the playoffs other than against us.
They have no one at ILB or S. They were not a real good D last year and lost more than half their players, replacing one.

Love it. I am actually making popcorn right now in hopes of a 6th starter lost. Want some?

It sounded like you were actually saying you like it from a Ravens viewpoint rather than liking it because you are a Patsfan and they have been decimated.

First balt fans were all nervous expecting a 10-6 season..now with one guy they are back in the mix for 12-4 or higher...i like the offseason

Dumervil isn't going to make the Ravens two or three wins better. In fact I seriously doubt they win 10 games this year unless their schedule is really weak.

They were a team that won on emotion last year (Torrey Smith's brother, Art Modell dying, and Ray Ray retiring). They lost their best WR (who was average), a very good guard, and six starters on defense. Dumervil doesn't replace all that.

Dumervil is a nice pick up, but the Ravens have a lot of holes to fill.

The ravens still have no linebackers.

Dumerville helps, but the racvens are decimated. And quite frankly, dumerville isn't JPP.

dumervil helps the pass rush situation..but is bad against the run

Except some of those "quality" starters really weren't that great last year, anyway (Ray Lewis, Pollard). Or, in the case of Kruger, they really weren't even "starters" at all.

Yeah, they aren't as good. But we don't have to totally exaggerate their losses. They now have a pass rush featuring Suggs, Haloti, and now Dumerville.....a significant upgrade over Kruger.

The Ravens DL is now:

Spears-Canty-Ngata-Dumervil

While their LBs are crap, it's still an amazing front...

...on paper. All that said, we've seen better DLs assembled in free agency that never panned out. See: Lions.

Yes, but name their starting safeties and ILBs. I bet you can't without looking it up.

I think you overrate Spears and Canty.

Wow.. So are they bankin on if they have enough pass rush no one will notice the JAGS playing the other 6 spots on defense ?

that formula worked for the 07 giants
