If true, good move by them.

And with Elvis Dumervil going to Baltimore, Denver figures to make a strong push for Dwight Freeney.

First balt fans were all nervous expecting a 10-6 season..now with one guy they are back in the mix for 12-4 or higher...i like the offseason

I knew Balt would figure out ways to stay competitive. Nice move for them.

Good move by Baltimore, but I still think that defense will not be the same next year, lost alot of leadership.

This makes Denver weaker so there is a silver lining in this.

All the talk of Baltimore's implosion is totally over-stated, imo. Dumerville is undoubtedly an upgrade over Kreuger. If they can find a MLB, they'll be ok.

5 year 35 mill...$8.5 first year

That's a lot...

Let me guess. You didn't watch him play at all this past season and are assume he's great because of his sack totals a couple years ago when no one knew about him.

He is a massive liability against the run. Like, if Tom Brady were to play DT and you compared him to Wilfork, that is what the disparity is like between Dumervil and Ninkovich (who in himself is pretty piss poor against the run).

Well maybe not that bad, but he was awful last year. Just another big name with little substance.

Wow.. So are they bankin on if they have enough pass rush no one will notice the JAGS playing the other 6 spots on defense ?

Sarcasm meter broken ?

Now you see why there are franchises like the Ravens and franchises like the Browns.

Ravens are getting a better player for less. Suggs, Ngata, Dumervil, Webb ... I wouldn't underestimate that D.

5/35 mill isn't better for less...

i think elvis is past his prime, i'm not gonna say he's like simeon rice team hopping past his prime, but i think freeney would actually work out better for denver if they get him.

i think elvis will miss von miller more than he thinks

4 good players doesn't cover up for 7 mediocre ones.

Works for me, especially at those numbers.

And with Denver going after Freeney, hopefully that means Abraham will sign here.

And another MLB, two starting safeties, a center and a #2 CB and someone to replace Boldin.

That's obnoxious logic. No team, in the free-agency era, can field a team without multiple, noticeable holes.

Baltimore? The D really isn't that bad, particularly the front-7, aside from MLB...

You do? They still have gaping holes in half their defense. This move puts last years #1 on the bench and leave nothing at ILB or S. Possibly their 4 most effective players on defense last year are gone with no replacement.
The are also down a starting Lt and #1 WR.
They were 10-6 last year, it would be a miracle to get back to it.
