The media has already wrote Denver vs San Fran into the super bowl and Miami winning our division. Grading Free Agency as a failure while applauding big moves as if they ever pan out. Local sports radio couldn't be more pessimistic. I can't wait for the under dog Patriots to shock and awe.

Don't know where you saw anybody pick the Fins over the Pats. As for being underdogs, as of
3/15, Las Vegas has NE as the third choice to raise the VLT next February @ 7.5/1. Trailing only
Denver and SF who are both @ 7/1.
I think you're pulling a Rodney Harrison, finding disrespect where none exists.

Like the patriots ?

Last two seasons: A last-minute loss in the SB and an AFCCG loss to the eventual champs.

That's totally the same as a one-and-done.

Huh? Even if the Pats don't sign or draft a single WR the rest of the off-season, they will still be consensus favorites to win the division, if not the conference.

I haven't checked but I bet Vegas probably has them as third or fourth most likely to win the SB right now, behind SF, GB and maybe SEA. If the Broncos come into the season as Conference favorites, then all the better--their fall will be that much sweeter.

Must be the same media that crowned the Donkeys last year as the favorites out of the AFC... :)

Underdog until when? The next move is made by the team, or the first week of the 2013 season when they crush the sh$t out of whoever they

Football is the ultimate prisoner of the moment sport

I'm not saying its the same.

I'm pointing out the irony of Joey's post that Denver is a bunch of 13-3 superstars that can't win when it matters the most. It's happened to us 3 years in a row now 14-2, 13-3, 12-4 no Super Bowl.

They probably could have won one or two if Gronk was healthy, but that is besides the point.

Didn't Buffalo win the Division in March last year and the Jets the year before? It's about time somebody else had a chance to earn that distinction! So, I'm cool with Miami winning the March Bowl this time...but I'll pass on the caps and T-shirts, if you don't mind.

I thought everyone already penciled in the Seacox winning everything?

BB cannot be this stupid to not sign or draft any WR...

Oh, and on NFLN last night apparently according to Darren Sharper, our window of opportunity is shut. What's funny is he didn't give many good reasons, he just kept barking on losing Welker, and how we haven't won a SB since 2005, so therefore we never will.

Kneejerk media is always fun this time of year.

NFL Network is barely better than BSPN. Who gives a chit about any one of them?

All that matters is Kraft paying off his homeland mobsters for a few more rings.

With wes going to denver, It feels good to see all the writers hoping right back on the Broncos wagon. Once again, we'll defeat him in the AFCCG and the writers will be back to wondering if Manning can ever win another ring.

This thread is pretty nutty.

The patriots are the #5 at worst in the media. We are #2 in the AFC. I certainly can see why we are CURRENTLY not favored over Denver.

Darren's bitter NE didn't sign him after bringing him in for a visit last year.

Doesn't vegas have the pats at the best odds of winning the SB? Or has that changed..thought they were 5/1...#1 in NFL? Thats not underdogs

and Miami winning our division.

Source? I haven't seen a single media personality predict that Miami will win the division.

As I said when the Pats were stumbling through their 10-6 2009 campaign, if they're underdogs, it's for good reason. Right now, if anyone views them as underdogs, I would guess that it's because they don't actually have a starting caliber WR unit. It would seem as if Belichick is relying a whole lot on the draft at the moment when he should probably make at least one more move in free agency first (that being for either Cruz or Sanders).

I feel like right now..they feel as if WR isn't a big issue on this team...kinda like the CB issues the past few years where they really didn't see it as an issue until last year. I hope i am wrong because Brady only has 3 more good years left. Having a crap WR corp will hurt our chances this year. Yeah we have 2 amazing TE and the best TE group in the NFL..but they aren't deep threats and have injury issues. We still need somewhat of an outside presence. no one will be afraid of amendola and jones... But they could make moves next off season if they know the FA class for WRs is big..not sure if it is though

Lucky we have a very soild running game that should continue to improve
And they aren't getting cruz...giants won't let him leave

Have no idea what "media" you listen to. But none here in america has said MIA to win division....do you get the north korean channels?

They should feel as if WR is a big issue. Right now, the Pats have arguably the worst group of WR's in the NFL. If the team isn't going to make a move for a guy like Sanders, then they absolutely have to hit on one in the draft, and the guy they pick has to be able to contribute immediately. Given the complexity of the Erhardt-Perkins offense, that's no sure thing. Particularly for a rookie.

No, he said "win anything in the playoffs." The Pats won a playoff game this year, and two last year. Their best weapon was either hobbled or completely unavailable all three years (Welker in 2010); that isn't "beside the point." That's a pretty big damn part of the point. And despite that, they were one dropped pass away from winning the SB.

Contrast that with Manning who had the #1 seed, turtled when it got tough and went one-and-done. Yet again.

So your argument is stupid.
