Based on projeted draft picks including comp picks and players who might be available within the range (+ or - 3 positions) of those picks. What do you think?

RD 1
Darrelle Revis CB 5-11,190 Pittsburgh (great value)

RD 2
Anthony Spencer DE 6-3, 265 Purdue (fine olb conversion prospect)

RD 3
Joe Newton TE 6-7, 260 Oregon State (D Grahmn replacement)

RD 4
Paul Williams WR 6-1, 200 Fresno State (here's wr help)
Ryan Smith CB 5-10, 170 Florida (based on coaches insider info)

Rd 5
Justin Hickman OLB UCLA 6-1 260 4.74 (back up olb/ilb conversion project)

RD 6
Brandon Harrison SS Stanford 6-2 215 4.58 (good sized in the box safety - our new Harrison?)
Matt Trannon WR Michigan State 6-6 232 4.67 (Add 25ILB and you've got yourself a nice TE)

Rd 7
C.J. Gaddis FS Clemson 6-0 210 4.48 (seem him ranked higher- great value at this spot)
Joe Anoai DT Georgia Tech 6-3 288 4.96 (Hill's replacement)

ummm...what happened to our other first round pick?

As was pointed out be Mike Reiss, the Pats don't have a 5th round pick (traded to Oakland).

Also, you only have 1 1st round pick listed and the Pats have 2.
The Pats received Arizona's 6th round pick for Gorin. The Pats have their 6th round pick and you can figure that the Pats will get 2 6th round picks as comps unless they changed the sclae drastically.

The consensus right now is 2-1-1-1-0-2-1 for tradeable picks, and 0-0-0-1-0-2-1 for comp picks, for a total of 2-1-1-2-0-4(!)-2.

Yup I screwed that one up. The 2nd round (60) pick would be David Harris. The 4th, 5th and extra 6 and 7s are comp picks based on a previous guestimate for compensation...may be a little optimistic but what the hell. Basic`ally they would end up with

4 DBs (2 CB 1 SS 1 FS)

3 LBs (1 ILB 1 DE to OLB conversion 1 OLB to ILB conversion)

2 TEs (one of which is a WR to TE conversion project)

1 WR

1 DE (DT to DE conversion)
