Pssst, I don't think you care, but you may want to know you are embarrassing yourself.

Unless Fred is really Felger trolling our board and in that case he is used to doing that every weekday.

Ack..another whiff by the Patriots.

They are acting like they can draft a WR which is delusional. This is what happens when the coach is a GM and no one has the balls to question his personnel decisions. There is no way that BB will be able to draft the kind of WR that the Patriots need.

LOL you really think the Pats were gonna shell out this kind of money to an aging WR like Jennings:

$47.5 million contract, including $18 million guaranteed.

I don't see that as a whiff at all. I see it as them saving their money to spend on other groceries that are fresher and cheaper.

Report: Greg Jennings turned down New England Patriots offer - NFL.com

The Vikings, however, did not offer the most talented offense. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Bob McGinn reported the Packers proposed a deal that averaged $8 million per year. McGinn added the New England Patriots were willing to put up $6 million per year.

So Jennings bypassed the opportunity to catch balls from two different quarterbacks with regular season and Super Bowl MVP awards (Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady) for the unspectacular Christian Ponder - and possibly Matt Cassel.

I get that it was his last big contract but I thought Minnesota was pretty lucky to make the play-offs last year, and wouldn't be surprised to see them regress this year.

Jennings may end up regretting his choice, although he can always wipe away those tears with a couple extra millions of dollars.

The people complaining about not getting a 10m a year WR would have been the same people complaining there's no pass rush/secondary because of "wasting" money on a WR

Lmao, we offered 6mil/yr to Jennings, he prob laughed at that....this also shows me that we are going back to the old days of having a lot of good yet cheap options as skill players on offense, no more paying someone more than 7-8mil a yr....

Also seems like we're hesitant to pay another receiver or TE on this team more than Gronk

Hmm only thing I can express...

The moment that Jennings won a Super Bowl his priorities changed from winning to padding his stats and his bank account. We threw a $6M/year offer at him to see if he was interested in winning. Clearly he isn't.

No love lost here.

I'm not sure why an offer like that is made, does he actually expect any sane person to take that when they are worth 9-10 million?

The money was too great for him to pass up. That much is obvious after he proclaimed to only want to play for a good QB & coach as a factor into his decision.

I doubt either Christian Ponder or Leslie Frazier fit that mold.

we offered jennings 6mil/yr
packers offered 8mil/yr
and vikings offered 10mil/yr

jennings went for the cash, if he wanted to win, he could have taken EITHER us or stayed home in GB for a middle ground

I would have accepted the 6 million for the pats, but
1) I have no talent as a WR
2) 6 million is more than I'll earn before I retire
3) Best seats in the house and they pay me
4) I'm a home town fan

Green Bay would have been by far his best choice, 2 million more then we offered and an equal shot at winning as he would have had here. Foolish to downgrade from Rodgers to Ponder. He could have had a slight upgrade in Brady but for 2 million less it wouldnt have been worth it. Cant believe he left GB for the Vikings.

So we offered Jennings the same contract we offered Amendola? LOL. That's hilarious.

Probably realizes that GB isn't winning a SB any time soon with a stacked NFC and a dumpster fire defense.

We didn't offer jennings anything

Patriots did not make Greg Jennings an offer, according to another league source. I'm going to bang my head against the wall repeatedly

This FA is pure guessing by everyone

:mad:The Vikings have agreed to terms with WR Greg Jennings, per a team source (@AdamSchefter had it first)

The title for this thread was clearly "d%#*!@t!" Not whatever the fcuk you censored it as. FCUK OFF!

It wasn't a purple (although it fits well) face, it was a red face!

I wanted GJ here, he would fit like a glove (not OJ's tho)...
