Shefter: Pats sign Amendola

Adam Schefter
@AdamSchefter
Lose one receiver, add another: Patriots reach agreement in principle on five-year deal with former Ram Danny Amendola, per league source.

That is okay, but what about him being injury prone?

Re: Shefter: Pats sign Amendola

Well that was quick and 5 years. He had better be worth it.

I want to see the numbers. They better reflect how injured this guy is.

The Devil is in the details...

Not to mention that Amendola has to stay healthy.. Something he hasn't been able to do in his career.

Welcome aboard!

And the injury bug LOVES THIS TEAM. Every year a position is decimated by injury. This dude better hit the weights.

Need time to rebooooooooot

josh got his man, as I said last night.

Re: Shefter: Pats sign Amendola

Well, props to whomever had the scoop where the Patriots were considering Amendola in lieu of Welker.

This deal illustrates to me that the team didn't want Welker back!

those were freak injuries

Per @RapSheet, Amendola gets 5 years from Pats at $31M. $10 guaranteed. Avg: $6.1.

Remember, he's a lot younger than Welker, at the end of this he'll be about the age Welker is now.

You have got to be kidding me. $31 MILLION? Is this guy even worth that kind of money?
