Lenny Clarke was on the big show and BB called in (apparently good friends) BB was hillarious talking about the probowl and things that went on. Lenny also told a story about when he and BB were having dinner in NYC and the waiter came up and said hello Mr B and hello Mr Parcells (mistaking clarke for parcells). Lenny goes "i'm not parcells" and BB jumps in and says, "yes he is, he tells everyone he's not" They went on to talk (after BB hung up) about what a great sense of humor he has (which we all knew)

Good interview, hopfully up on WEEI's audio vault later!

That is awesome! It seems BB is actually a funny/cool guy if people get past his media image. I mean he hangs out with Bon Jovi for Christ sake.

that is hilarious. BB has unique friends

Would like to have the opportunity to just sit and listen to him in a casual setting, no questions just listen to him talk to folks knowledgeable about the game.

Jim Brown and The Chuckster consider him friends too. How'd you like to golf with that foursome; Clarke,BonJovi,Brown and Barkley??

I had Bobby Breathard in my boat this summer and he was quite complimentary of BB. Not just in football sense but as a person also. So that is someone in the industry that knows people and has a positive opinion of BB. I think alot of this negative crap is just generated by the media to make themselves feel and sound knowledgeable and important.:)

The bizarre thing is that on Page 2 on ESPN a couple reporters were making the case that the NFL jumped the shark and is too overhyped. They talked about all the hype before the game, and then they said the Super Bowl was boring, as boring as a Belichick press conference.

Now I agree with 99% of what they said, but they contradict themselves when they say the NFL is all hype, and then they call Belichick boring soiomply because he purposely doesn't like to take part in the hype.

Well BB press conferences are usually very boring unless people there actually want to talk football. Not "How about Deion Branch..."...."I'll only talk about players who are here at camp."

I think that anything the NFL mandates BB gets a bit passive agressive, has to do press conferences, has to release injury reports, has to wear NFL licensed on the sidelines etc. There is a trend here, and maybe that explains a lot of what goes on here with all of the frivolous rules in the NFL.

The problem is that the rest of the football world only sees BB at his PC's and there he is all business. He is focused and intense about winning football games, and you just can't turn that off to have a PC. When he's not in that mode, it's obvious he's a fun guy to be around. I mean when i watch the games (especially playoff games) i am intense and not in a "joking around" mood. The problem is he is the best at what he does, and everyone always attacks the guy on top!

It's not in the audiovault yet, hopefully it will be!

Tanguay and Felger referred to the jolly Bellichick seen at the Pro Bowl on NEST last night and hohohohed about what a surprise Thomas or anyone else who fell for that persona was in for should he come to the Pats.

What snarky morons. Apparently they assume that the person they see is the same person the players know.

Sigh. Which one of them was it who did an interview with some Patriot about Belichick's Hoodie and was told about how the players, especially Vrabel, always give him sh!t about it. I think it's safe to say that the Patriots who don't put forth the effort won't like the Belichick "persona" but the guys who are professional and perform to whatever their 100% is will like it just fine.

those two a holes dont have a clue about anything they are a disgrace to their profession

I've chatted with various N.E. media types re: Felger, and the consensus vibe is "Yeah, I don't know what happened to him. What a shame."

Exactly my thoughts, capt. stone. Exactly my thoughts. On everything you touched on.
