According to this report:

Report: Darrelle Revis leaving New York; Falcons, 49ers interested - CBSSports.com

No, I'm not suggesting the Pats trade for him. Yes, he would be a huge upgrade for them, IMO, even coming off an injury. But the price would be almost certainly far too high, given that the Jets are a division rival. But I'd be fine with him going to the NFC, though really, he'd help either Atlanta or San Francisco immensely.

I think I'd rather he stay a jet than go to a contender. Hopefully he ends up staying and pats can try for him next offseason.

Great, now that the Jets suck and aren't a threat at all, they're going to hand Revis to either one of the top NFC teams and make them much better.

:bricks:

Count me in the rather he'd be a Jet camp.

He's gone. Gone.
If the Jets are smart (Heh) they'll tank 2013 Colts style and pick a QB in 2014. By then their cap $ will let them be serious FA players.

First, the Jets wouldn't trade Revis to the Pats for anything short of four or five first round picks.

Second, Revis going to any team is no guarantee of anything. Plenty of top flight free agents have left one team to the next and not done anything to put them over the top. Sometimes they have a negative effect because teams are forced to let other areas of the team suffer to get them (see Julius Peppers in Chicago where the Bears have no o-line).

This Idzik guy is actually smart. He wants to bring in a terrible QB (Quinn) to "compete" with Sanchez, guarenteeing the Jets will be 2-14 next year with whoever is QB. Then, trade away Revis for picks in 2013 and 2014. Have the #1 pick, fire Rex, cut Holmes and Sanchez at the end of the season, and finally rid the Jets of the Rex Ryan era of stupidity.

Heck, didn't people peg the Iggles as a Super Bowl contender after they landed both Asomugha and Samuel?

He has also been talking up Tebow, trying to get somebody to trade for him.

Hopefully the New Jersey drinking water will take effect, and whatever intelligence that he now possesses will quickly disappear.

this would kill off half their fanbase....and improve the human race by a quantum leap

BTW, Rich Cimini Tweeted today that if Revis is traded, Sexy Rexy is going to explode. Not sure if that means the will eat so much that the lap band around his stomach will snap or he will throw a temper tantrum, but it sounds like the Jets could be great entertainment again this year.

Belichick should call NY and offer them a 2014 6th rounder for Revis. Comedy would ensue.

trading their best player...lol

losing revis will devastate the already reeling jesters.

Get your popcorn ready. They are almost towards their offseason superbowl victory already and its just March!!

LOL :rocker::rocker:

Is it possible the Jets could realistically go -2 and 18 now?

He should also mention that a 6th rounder could get them their long-needed franchise QB.

I hope the next team he goes to finds out his knee will never be the same..like the nanmdi situation (without the knee part)

They are probably cruising for the number 1 pick next season, Franchise QB set for that draft?
