Good year last year. Only 27. But not sure how much he will want

A quick google brings up this:

According to CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora, impending free agent OLB Paul Kruger is seeking around $8 million per year in his next contract.
Kruger fired his agents this week and is expected to sign with a major firm after posting career highs in tackles (42) and sacks (nine) this past season. With Ed Reed, Cary Williams, and ILB Dannell Ellerbe also scheduled for free agency, the Ravens aren't likely to get into a bidding war to re-sign Kruger, and appear set to let him test the open market. Kruger made just $615,000 in 2012, the final year of his rookie contract.

NFL Today: Arians, Whisenhunt pace coach updates; Kelly staying at ND - CBSSports.com - the actual part stating the 8m is in there.

He'll get more than $8M. I could see close to 10. And I wouldn't touch him as a DE.

The off putting part in the link is " concerns about Kruger's decision-making off the field"

Colts is my guess at where he lands.

10 million? yeah no...rather pay 5-6 million for reed...but if they intend on letting kruger go...reed will be next on radar besides ellerbee

I still feel as if the pats will over pay for someone this offseason. Not major..but will pay a pretty penny for someone

I'd take him in an instant.

The pats paid 35 mill for 5 years on adalius thomas back in the day. Wonder if kruger would take that even though AT was a LB

If we're spending that kind of money on the front 7, I'd rather it be for a big upgrade in the position next to Wilfork -- as that's the weakest link.

He's not a DE, so no.

If we're going to ball out on a FA, I'd rather spend the money on Melton.

x2

Abraham might come cheap, and we could use the #1 pick on a real DT. There are a number of good ones coming off the board this year from #20-40 range.

That would be a much better use of resources and we'd still have money left over for another WR - such as Danario Alexander to go with our draft pick in the 2nd round Hunter, and our other FA buy: Hartline.

Franchise tagged, unfortunately. He would have been a fantastic fit.

Restricted free agent, reportedly getting a first round tender

Most sources rank Kruger as a top-10 FA. If he gets paid anywhere near a top-10 FA, we will stay far away and for good reason. Whichever team does that will regret it.

He isn't worth what he'd ask for IMO. He is sub rusher who played opposite Suggs and next to Ngata.. Not much of an upgrade over Ninkovich if you ask me.

I think in the sacks category..he would be an upgrade

He had 9 sacks to Ninkovich 8. Only 1.5 in first half of the year in which Suggs was out.

If he can produce like the second half of last season, then yeah. He really only has that half of a season plus the playoffs of production, though.

First 47 games of his career: 8.5 sacks
Last 12 (last 8 reg, 4 playoff): 12 sacks
