Toucher to Brady: 'Screw you'

Never heard of this guy Toucher, but he sounds (and looks) like a dumbass.

Context/information/explanation, a quote perhaps? I don't want to click if it is going to support a dbag journalist.

That morning show is an attempt at "edgy" comedy so take the comment for what it's worth in that context.

His comment had to do with the email that John Dennis sent to Brady and Brady responded to it. He took exception to Brady not wanting to talk about his contract because there are so many struggling to make it, and Brady said "we atheletes make more than our fair share" and it would not reflect well on him or his team mates.

That is what I remember off the top of my head. If I'm Brady, this dbag so called journalist should never have access to him again. But that's me.

Minus a select few, all I can do is LOL at the Boston media. They're literally a joke. Always trying to bring down the Patriots. I can't help but laugh now because it seriously is comedy gold what some of these "journalists" say.

Fred Toucher is a Jets fan. He is also on 98.5. Do you think he is going to respond well to Brady sending a letter to WEEI telling them he just wants to win?

Even then, this is taken a bit out of context since he is responding to a question that asked him if he was another player or the NFLPA, how would you respond to Brady.

I'm having a hard time keeping up:

Toucher is Touchy
Brady to the Jets
Only One NFL Team is Homophobic
Suggs is Omniscient

It's a lot to digest.

This whole discussion is stupid. Brady should not have commented. TFB should have simply said that he and the team were happy with the contract and he would have no further comment.

His note was inviting this discussion. And these morons jumped right on it. I've turned off the radio again.

People should read or watch the piece before commenting. And nite get upset about media saying something. People are way to sensitive.

Just to recap:

Tom Brady in a private email to John Dennis that was not meant to hit the airwaves:

I don’t want to talk about this on the radio or anywhere else for that matter. Athletes are always talking about money at a time when everyone else is struggling so badly to make it. We all make way more than our fair share. And I just think it reflects poorly on myself and my teammates. I really do just want to win, and that has and will continue to be the reason that motivates me and is the biggest factor in my decision-making process.

Fred Toucher, responding as if he were a fellow NFL player:

Screw you, Tom Brady

Conclusions to be made:

1) Tom Brady speaks the truth
2) John Dennis is an idiot
3) Fred Toucher is an idiot

He's in a no win situation. Media d-bags rag on him if he says something.
Rag on him if he says nothing.

I hope they all get a dose of something horrible.

My old(bad) joke is that at liberal arts colleges they administer an IQ test to all students on the first day of their freshman year, and the ones who fall in the lowest ten percentile of intellect are automatically forced to major in journalism.

When I heard this Toucher guy, I realized that the standards are even lower for those in sports "journalism". I probably should have realized that when I first heard John Tomase.

But that's what he media relies on. That and noise.

Does Boston even have a homer show anymore?

Does Boston even have a homer show anymore?

Not for the Patriots. Well maybe 10-2 on 98.5.

If you want Red Sox homerism, WEEI is the station for you or maybe it has changed I haven't listened to it in over two years.

I'm tempted to merge this with the other screw the media thread, but since we're in a rather dead time period until free agency commences I'll leave this one seperate.

As for this whole faux debate about Brady somehow allegedly screwing other NFL players by not holding out for the very last dollar that he could, I find that logic to be terribly flawed. A player taking less money means other player(s) will have the opportunity to make more, and that other player(s) that may have potentially been cap casualties will have an opportunity to remain.

Can somebody please explain how that is screwing fellow NFL players?

A couple of comments that I made previously I'll repeat here, with apologies in advance to those that have already read them:

- There seem to be an awful lot of people that follow the NFL can't grasp the concept that 9+6+3 equals 15+2+1.

- There seem to be an awful lot of people that attempt to take an MLB theory of roster building (spend with no budget limits) and apply that to the NFL, where there is a true salary cap. Their assumption is that every dollar a player does not hold out for stays in the owner's pocket, and never consider that is an extra dollar available for other players on the roster.

Who is Toucher?

Well said.

People like Fred Toucher, for example.
