If Graham leaves, Miller in the first isn't a terrible idea (although, as others have said before, Brian Leonard is an even more obvious fit for the Pats).

I guess I do not understand the Miller pick because Greg Olsen out of Miami is a much better player IMO. At the college all pro competition he was clearly the best receiver by far. He has as good of hands any anybody in the draft. IMO he is the complete package. I would be thrilled to get him @ #28.

It seemed in the explanation Miller's appeal was that he was a very good blocker (like Graham.)

I know, but we have good blockers. Watson is improving, Mills is a FB, and Thomas is a good blocker. I would not mind seeing Watson's receiving time reduced, blocking time increased, so Olsen and Thomas can showcase what they have. Instead of featuring Watson, share the love and become diverse.

I don't know why we're arguing about this mock draft and TEs since this is clearly a bad mock. Micahel Bush isn't going in the first round, and the last thing the Bills need is a possession wide receiver. That's the only position that team is stocked well at. Bad mock. Case closed.

Secondly, will Patriots fans stop calling the Patriots "Patsies?" Look up the word in the dictionary. It's no different than a Jet's fan calling his team the Jests.

Seems to me that all mock drafts are pretty irrelevant in February.

Come April you'll see guys from the 3rd Round in February Mocks in the 1st round, and 1st round February mocks in the 3rd.

The combine changes a lot, as does the rumor mill once word begins to leak about who is really getting a lot of interest.

These are true words you speak, beginning with picks in the 20s.

For me, Paul Posluszny is the guy to watch at the combine/workouts. Will he be big enough, strong enough, and explosive enough?

Guess non have you been looking at watson being blown up in blocks for a Sack.I am always amazed during the game week people are pissed he cannot block and in the offseason are ready to give him more blocking assignments.

Personally I wouldn't take a TE in round one. I think we all liked what we saw in Thomas - in fact he really excites me. But looking at history, we'd all better be prepared for the possibility. However if we're passing up on the likes of Patrick Willis or, my favorite, Brandon Merriweather, that TE better be REAL good :)

I think Thomas was the most under used player on the team
His game against Jax 5 catches 83 yards should how good
he could be. His diving td catch i believe was the best catch of the year.

With Watson, Graham, and Thomas, if the Pats draft another TE ill die. Unless thats signs that where getting rid of Graham.

Exactly. It's fun to speculate, but all mock drafts are crapshoots. Is there anyone on the planet (outside of the coaches and Pioli) who had Mankins and Maroney as our last two #1's?

Yes, I was one of the few that thought the Pats would take Maroney last year. Look it up. Everyone gave me **** about it. Now Mankins on the other hand, I didn't have a ******' clue. I was hoping the Pats would trade out of the pick and get a first rounder for the following year that was loaded with talent.

Well Mankins looks like a 10 year keeper so I think he was worth that 1st round pick even if he's a guard.

I can't really complain about Anthony Spencer as the pick... but according to that mock the Pats pass up on Patrick Willis to do it! The best free agents I believe are OLB so I think it would be smarter to draft a stud ILB like Willis who also has the athleticism to cover sideline to sideline.

As for TE. We will draft one. But I dunno if Zach Miller is worth a 1st round pick, especially if he's only a blocking tight end. I would rather "reach" for Meriweather to plug in behind Harrison or draft a cornerback or wr with the second 1st round pick.

As of 1858 GMT, that draft has us taking a WR rather than a TE. IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!

IMO, it would be worse if we took a DT anyone who projects as a defensive lineman in round 1 than a TE.
