Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman exchange Twitter barbs - CBSSports.com

Revis apparently is tired of it, and this is what he tweeted out Wednesday in response.

I never seen a man before run his mouth so much like girl. This dude just steady putting my name in his mouth to get notoriety @rsherman_25

Naturally, Sherman almost immediately responded.

Talk about pot calling the kettle black

Revis is right. Sherman is a punk.

They should fight with medieval weapons and see who comes out on top. :rocker:

I'll be interested to see if Revis feels the same way if Seattle attempts to pair the two.

I think that it'd be a huge waste of money and resources if SEA chose to do that, as much as we've been hearing about it lately.

They already have 2 massive CB's in Browner (6'4") and Sherman (6'3"), and as we know they've basically got a shutdown corner already.

On the back end they've got 2 young and talented safeties in Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.

They are pretty set for the secondary as far as cost goes at the moment. I'd think it'd be smarter for them to add a high cost player just about anywhere else but the secondary.

Then again, they've got "tickle me Pete" as their HC, so anything is possible.

Revis is suddenly more likable to me..

I hope you guys aren't all forgetting how much of a punk Revis is himself before you go on siding with him. Sherman is a loser, but that doesn't make Revis any less of an imbecile.

Revis whines and complains about everything, including his new contract he renegotiates every two years because he's determined to run the Jets organization into the ground.

Revis has done as much damage to the Jets as Belichick and Brady have the past couple years. They have zero depth anywhere, next to zero young talent anywhere outside of Revis and Mangold, and they are looking at being in cap hell for at least a couple years before they can even begin to try to rebuild.

Which is of course all fine by me. This is all a semi-tangent but I love hearing Jets fans constantly clamoring to "just restructure everyones contract" because Tanny has made them think that restructuring makes the money disappear- when of course all it does is just compound the problem and make the hit come later at a steeper price.

The Jets suck. Revis sucks. Sherman is a punk but a semi-savvy marketer.

For once in your life can you stop being the voice of reason and enjoy the theoretical about face Revis would need to perform. ;)

BTW, I agree with what you've put forward.

Carroll should have ordered a code red on Sherman a long time ago.

It would be entertaining, hell--it already is! :rocker:

Agree completely 2nd year player with PED issues acting like fool. Allowing stuff like that is Carroll's downfall as HC.

Yes. Having one of the top corners in the league. What a downfall. I think that Sherman helps himself with the trash talking by getting in opponents heads. Football is a lot about getting in opponents head. I would love to have Sherman in a Pats uniform, even if he talks like he does now.

He's overrated. Notice how he got torched by WRs once Clemons went down and the pass rush disappeared.

Not what said I said allowing a player in his 2nd year to act like a fool on twitter and in public is not a positive HC habit. Doesn't matter who the player is or what he has done. Being a good CB doesn't give you the right to act like an ***** and spend your offseason being an Internet bully.

Is that same R Sherman of 42 Wallaby Way in Sydney?

If you gagged his mouth and put him in a straight-jacket, ran some film of his best defenses, i bet he would internally combust in less than an hour.

Revis also said Brady was the greatest QB ever.
