1st day of spring training-Bucholz injured

I could honestly care less about the Sox nowadays. I used to follow them with a good amount of interest but, after the 2007 season, ownership allowed this team to go to crap. The result is the manure we've seen on the field for the past few seasons and it doesn't look to get any better this year. I wish the best for Bucholz. He seems like a good guy. But I can't say that I'm going to be following the Sox closely at all this year. And by "closely at all", I mean that I'll probably only look at the ScoreCenter updates on my iPhone.

this will definitely be a very long season. We should probably go into the season expecting nothing from this team...it will be less stressful that way. We already have two pitchers shut down with sore arms and now Buchholz has a hammy. Ortiz is still not 100% with the heel thing and i dont expect him to be 100% at any point in the season. Nava taking ground balls at first and they are not letting Napoli do anything until he gets another MRI.

I still care about the sox, but this will be a very long season

I'm with you Boxer ... they're my team and have been since I was 7 years old. I don't expect too much but at the same time with a little luck we could end up with a very decent team due to pitching depth. Every starter we have is capable of winning 15 games if healthy. We'll need to be in the top 5 in lowest ERA to make the playoffs - the bats won't do it this year. Tazawa, Bailey and Hanrahan are a nice back 3. If they can get bard to become a one or two batter strike out specialist we may have something.
