Watching it now (it's on from 6pm-7pm ET) - good stuff :)

I haven't watched any of the DVD's in years, so it's interesting seeing a lot of the footage again as they break down every week.

Thanks for the tip -- I caught the last 15 minutes; very enjoyable.

Now, I haven't seen this in a while but I swear they re-edited some, added stuff in. Or maybe I just didn't notice it before. But I thought it was interesting when Brady at the end says (to paraphrase) "one thing coach Belichick was adamant about was that everyone flew down together and everyone flew home together after the game." (Brady wasn't sure if it would be Ok to go to Disney World; Belichick was fine with that). I thought that was an interesting thing considering what had happened with the coach the previous SB trip.

I thought the same thing. The whole thing was great - hadn't watched it in years and it was great seeing a lot of footage that - as you pointed out - seemed to be added from what I had seen previously.

Thanks for posting that Ian, I always have some good memories when I watch the Patriots America's Games, I remember being soooooo hungover at work the next morning after SB36...

I know I'm going through withdrawal. Today I stooped to watching Patriots Fifth Quarter which was still on my DVR from three weeks ago. Then I tried to watch some of the AFCCG vs. Baltimore. I erased both after getting through the first quarter. I had to remind myself that no matter what, the outcome wouldn't change. :( This time of year sucks.

Re-watching the Butt Fumble game should improve things a bit.

That Super Bowl seems so long ago. Next time they air it, run it through that digital aging program that makes the celluloid look cracked with streaks running through it. Don't forget to run the leader that has the circular sweeping hand that counts down 10... blip... 9... blip... 8... blip... etc.
Better yet, tint the whole thing in sepia.

January of 2002 seems so long ago, I almost expect The Pats to come out of the tunnel wearing leather helmets & being led by Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch.

Sure Super Bowl 36 special was sweet to watch for the next 4 or 5 years afterwards, but that game hurts to watch ever since Plaxico caught that ball 5 years ago. Super Bowl 36 won't feel good again until the damn booked Lombardi is slapped on the end, extending the bracket of dominance to the present day. Until then, that 4 season window seems like ancient history and is shrinking in the rear view mirror every time someone else hoists The Lombardi.
I don't wanna be forever asking "what if..."

That whole 3 Games To Glory box set is gathering dust in the bottom dresser drawer. Out of sight, out if mind.

THanks for the tip. I'll erase mine then.

I never got a chance to tape that game. I was so PISSED. I didn't remember until I was at the dinner table with my family. Thank goodness we are all football fans or I would have missed it entirely. I'm still pissed that I forgot to set the DVR for that one. That game was a CLASSIC!

Technical question here

If I keep watching the buttfumble game over and over again and replaying that sequence of 3 quick scores repeatedly will I wear out or harm my TiVo DVR?

Damn it! I missed it! Grrr. Hopefully they air it again soon.

Brady coming into the game week 2 got me weee bit excited.

Trust me it won't wear out as fast as Sanchez did with the New York fan base!

Not to worry. Sanchez is working on a sequel called Butt Interception. He got the idea from Plaxico.

That's easy enough to envision. Li'l Marky throws the ball before the receiver comes out of his break, it bounces off his butt into the defender's hands for a pick six.
