I know, i know, they are stupid this early..but i just thought it's worth pointing out the pats have to play a lot of so called "top teams" next year

NFL Power Rankings: Ravens earn top spot going into offseason - NFL.com

playing 5 in the top 10? then saints

I am glad they play some tough teams, Teams that face tough competition in the regular season are the ones which win the SB. We always play a bunch of ******s in the Jets/Fins/Bills , You have to beat the best to be called the best. we need some tough competition to strengthen this team. For example the last two SB champs Giants and the Ravens...

Interesting note: When I looked at this column earlier Harrison's lede graph cited two previous Super Bowls as being better than this year's: The Steelers-Cards one that's still there ... and the Pats-Rams. Guess someone must have reminded him he's a Pats hater so e switched in SB42 for SB36.

During the regular season, NE played 4 of the 5 AFC playoff teams and 2 of the 6 NFC teams (Houston, Indy, Baltimore, Denver, SF and Seattle) which included both SB finalists. Granted, they lost 3 of those 6, but I wouldn't call them a bunch of ******s. Can't do much about who you play in your division each year.

Come September, half the talking heads on TV will be latching onto the Dolphins as the official hot-team-on-the-rise and picking them to challenge the Pats. Kinda like the Bills did last year.

I wish we had a in division rivalry like the Ravens-Rteelers, such games have Playoff intensity. I wouldnt call what we have with the Jets a rivalry, they are just a bunch of blabbermouths. Next yea another good rivalry will be the Niners and the Hawks. Of late it seems that the teams which are tested in the regular season are the ones winning the SB and not the teams like the Broncos of 2012 or the Pats of 2011 . Its the teams which nobody expects to do anything in the playoffs that are winning, like the Giants of 2011 and the Ravens of 2012.

Then what do you make of this fact:

The last seven teams to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl have played the Patriots in the regular season.

due to all the $$ they have to spend this offseason...but nothing will change..they will finish ahead of jets in 2nd...but that's it

That means those NFC teams would also have played the 3 high school teams in the AFC EAST i.e the Jets/Bills/Phins, that's three easy victories right there.

The last seven teams to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl have played the Patriots in the regular season.

Also, the last seven teams to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl have played the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins in the regular season.

Brady went 1-3 against the NFC last year :O wasnt he unbeaten against the NFC for the longest time.
