Beyonce used up all the juice.

"In an unexpected green move, the city decided at the last moment to cut interior lighting in half."

So why was the game delayed? For tv reasons? They could've continued the game with the lighting they had. Every team has played in some type of foul weather that reduces visibility, ie; fog, rain snow etc. Why not continue the game as scheduled?

Nantz and Simms didnt have electric power to announce the game.

The scoreboard was out too.

I thought about both of those issues beforehand.

I wasn't paying close attention but I swear that's all CBS did was talk through the blackout, and why is the score board important to the players on the field?

There was no electricity on the 49er's sideline putting their communications down.

Ah, that explains the idiotic play selection on their final red zone drive then

So, Baltimore had communications during the blackout but SF had none? Free time-out?

This calls for an asterisk!

Is that a serious question or are you new to the sport? You DO realize there is a clock? And that the sidelines need commuications?

I will admit I forgot about the clock, but is the scoreboard clock the official game clock? So, if it's snowing or raining like there's no tomorrow, and the scoreboard is not visible to the game managers, do they ever stop the game? I'm not looking for smart-assed remarks here. I questioned this during the game and want to hear others sensible thoughts on it.
