Odds To Win The Super Bowl: 2014 Season

Super Bowl 2014 odds: Patriots, Broncos, 49ers early favorites, Ravens 14/1 - Detroit Gambling | Examiner.com

Super Bowl 2013 kickoff time may be just minutes away, but Las Vegas sportsbooks are already thinking of Super Bowl 48. According to footballlocks.com on Feb 2, the New England Patriots are the favorites to win next year's Super Bowl at 6 to 1 odds.

The Ravens are at 14 to 1 odds and the 49ers are 7 to 1.

It may seem a long way away to be thinking of wagering on next season's Super Bowl, but it also can be a very wise investment.

The Ravens came into the 2012 season as high as 25-30 to 1 win Super Bowl 47 depending what casino you looked at. If Baltimore pulls off the win today and you had a bet on them to win the Super Bowl before the season started, you are in for a nice pay day!

Here is a look at the current odds for Super Bowl 48.

Tennessee Titans +$10,000 (100 to 1)
Washington Redskins +$3,000 (30 to 1)

Jets 50-1? Giants 20-1?...the game in NY??? a hundred on the Jets gets you 5 grand...2 grand for the G-Men...does anyone seriously believe there won't be at least one NY franchise playing in this game?

and what a story of redemption the Jets would be....a box office smash hit....untold millions upon millions of revenue streams trickling down on the NY/NJ metro area aiding the victims of Superstorm Sandy...the brash, ego driven loud mouth of Rex Ryan, neck one season from the guillotine, coming through on his promise at last...the young enigmatic quarterback, all but left for dead...getting up off the mat and delivering on the promise of his first two seasons....my God, I think I'm going to break down with emotion and cry my eyes out...just like Ray Lewis did last night....

2014 Super Bowl Favorites: The Denver Broncos

As usual on Super Sunday, Las Vegas has released the odds for next season and the Broncos are the favorite to win Super Bowl XLVIII. The Broncos are listed as the 5-1 favorite, followed by the San Francisco 49ers at 7-1. The New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens are also among the favorites.

That may be a surprise to some, but I’ve been saying since the day that Peyton Manning signed with the Broncos that next season would be the one to point to, Vegas obviously agrees. There are a number of reasons that the Broncos are the early favorite including; they were the best team going into the playoffs this season, Manning will be in his second season, the core of the team returns and they have salary cap room to make moves.
Only way this happens is if Metlife stadium gets a dome, or if it is 75 degrees or more on SB game day or if the Broncos replace Manning with his backup for the game.

Glad we can finally fly under the radar a tiny bit.

Denver didn't have a single significant injury this season. We'll see if the injury luck will even out.

Broncos lost to the Ravens, Texans, Patriots & Falcons. They aren't ready to make a title run.

I would say the odds of Manning winning the MVP are far greater than those of the Broncos winning the SB

Their #1 HOF CB's game is finally crumbling at age 35, they will have to change how they play defense. Didn't people realize that team was buy and large frauds?

If they were frauds and they barely lost to the Ravens what does that make the Patriots?

I put a thread up last night that's still on the first page here that lists the Pats as the favorite followed by Denver and SF....the game is in NY with the GMen at 20-1 and the Rats at 50-1

Denvah is a legit contendah. Manning could actually be still recovering and have a better year next season...or age starts getting to him, but even if it's the latter you do not have to be in top form as a QB to win the prize. Look at Eli's wins, Rthlsbrgrs wins, etc.

We tend to write hated opponents off too easily attributing the worst possible outcomes to any player FA losses or retirements they may have and never expecting them to have 2nd or 3rd year players come from "nowhere" as we insular Pats followers see it, and suddenly emerge as key contributors. When other fans come here and post how Pats are in decline because so-and-so is retiring, etc. we jump all over them because they fail to see our roster big picture.

My bad, mods please feel free to merge...

Manning will be 37 next season

I would hardly put a team with a QB at that age on top, despite Manning playing great this year,Denver still made it through the season with a cupcake schedule all winter long.

Denver may have a lot of talent, but Manning's season was largely smoke and mirrors. He didn't beat anybody of any consequence, and his body was truly falling apart in the end. He couldn't throw the ball down the stretch in that Baltimore game, and I believe the stories about the nerve problems he was having in the game.

They still have a soft schedule as long as the AFCW continues to suck, but they aren't a real contender.

Of course they had an easy schedule in their pathetic division but the AFCE is hardly a strong division. Does that make us pretenders because we lost to the stronger outside our division teams too?

We can clearly see now that without Gronk, we were not deserving of the Super Bowl title this year. We couldn't beat the Niners or Baltimore without him, and they were the two best teams in the league this year.

But, he's our second best player, and one of the top players in the league, and he's expected to recover, so I put us right up there as SB candidates next year.
