I consider us the best fanbase in the NFL, this thread should be here

parrallels to the patriots
i think one of the things to note about this win by the ravens is that last time they won was 12 years ago, thats a long time

this SB win could be seen as the end of an era in Baltimore, where they had that amazing defense all the time and the OK offense

Now baltimore is a diff team, and with its main players over the last decade quite possibly moving on, that era is over, it started with a SB, it ended with a SB

i see parallels to this w/ the pats, and between Ray's career and Brady's, they both won when young, and had a very long stretch of lapses, and then won it in the end again

however Brady won multiple in the beginning, and now, as the Tom Brady era enters a close in NE (over the next 4 or so years) i believe Brady will go out on top, and will do so winning multiple titles

power outage
in a sense it is a good thing that Balt won because the power outage should not have had an effect on the game, and it undoubtedly helped SF out

had SF won this game, it would have (and should have) been part of the discussion, now its just another weird thing

officiating
wow, that was pretty bad, and if i may say so, it pretty much went the ravens way all day long...

there were multiple block in the backs that were not called on the ravens,
then the play on 4th down was pretty bad, then there was such an obvious hold on the safety play that it should have been called and created the safety with much more time on the clock when Balt punted the ball away

Miami Hurricanes
another era coming to a close, the playmakers from Miami are retiring from the NFL, but even at this old stage they are very felt in the NFL

Randy Moss
I love that guy to death, but this game showed a lot of what Moss lacks...that Int was caused by him directly not going up for a ball, one which he should have undoubtedly been able to touch and change the direction and hence make a pick less likely if not outright catch, if you cant play in the SB, you shouldn't be on an NFL roster

Gronk
Boy did the TE's of SF abuse that Ravens D or what, especially DOWN THE FIELD, thats how we should have used Aaron, but more importantly, its what we lacked by not having Gronk...and yes it did hurt a lot

Flacco
the guy is just like Eli, an OK QB for most of the reg. season, but the guy simply ups his game in the playoffs, he played extremely well today, well deserved MVP....and now the ravens HAVE to keep him, and in the process have to get rid of his supporting cast, both on offense, and defense, and we will see if Flacco can take an OK team to the playoffs or not from here on out....but at this point he can ask for whatever he wants, and he will get it from somebody

Patriots
19-0 next season? with any luck yes, because thats what I now firmly believe it comes down to mostly, luck, which controls injuries, and also the bounce of the ball, this team from this past year was very good, our offense is as good as ever, and our defense is on the improving side, we will be a force to be reckoned with next year, and all our serious competition it seems will take a step back....so bring on the 2013-2014 NFL season

Congrats to the Ravens, but I wish the Pats would have been in their place.

The mafia didn't want the Pats to win. They wanted the the biggest payouts. Guess what team had those odds? Yup.

There is a LOT of $$$$ in gambling. Don't be naive to the cold reality of this.

It has nothing to do with "the mafia" or gambling...THAT is all a straw man...at the end of the day it's the BUSINESS of the NFL and their 32 CZARS in association with national advertising concerns and the major sports media outlets that drive this multibillion dollar going concern..."Parity!!! You can be sure if you follow US, YOUR NFL"...

Yeah...keep on dreaming.

You are right about the business of the NFL. I will give you that. But, gambling (I'm not talking about the average joe six pack. I'm talking about the Tel Aviv/London/NYC Goldman Sachs banksters who tell the congress what to do) is a BIG deal.

You and me, we are simply spectators.

Congratul..............

Nah. **** it.

What the hell are you talking about re:Moss? He had three guys around him a nd Kaepernick over threw him. Go watch it again.

There were some that criticised that play where Kaepernick double clutched on his throw and slated Moss. FYI, that pass should be hitting his numbers the minute he turns. If he'd kept coming back, he'd have been back to the line of scrimmage before Kaepernick decided to let to of the ball. All on him.

I don't conceivably see how that int was Moss' fault in the slightest.

The Baltimore Ravens...I can offer them only hate.

To the 1/10 of decent Ravens fans congrats. I've never since I've been on this board seen a worse reflection of rude fans than I've seen from The Baltimore folks. But really, what do you expect when the players act the way they do? Fans mirror what they see for the most part.

I'm sure all the fans who jumped off the Ravens bandwagon are cursing themSelves for jumping on the RG3 train when things were going bad for the RatBirds.

To the Cleveland fans, well, there's not much to say.

FCUK The crows ...

They are nothing like the Pats. However their defense and offense is full of experienced vets that helped lift them to victory over a relatively young 49ers team. I expect this is their peak because very rarely do Superbowl winners or even losers reappear again in the big tourney the next year. Congrats to them because they earned the win. But it's nothing for me to cheer for. LOL.

The Ravens are a punk, cheap shot team, that I'll NEVER congratulate.

The league could have easily suspended half a dozen of their players this year.

In my eyes they suck, always have, always will.

Hopefully they're headed the way of the Raiders for the next twenty years.

DOWN ! Where they belong.

I knew it. I just knew it before I came on that someone would make a "Congrats" thread.

Why? Why should Patriots fans offer any team "Congrats". If I offered 'congrats", I would be givng to "congrats' to Bernard Pollard. Terrell Suggs, and Ray Lewis.

No way that's going to happen. They all can do what is not possible unless they are triple jointed and then they would enjoy it too much.

Excellent job Ravens !
Props to your stat lacking QB who wins against the stat enhanced pretty boy QBs.

Stuff like this was once spewed against the Patriots by the stat obsessed losers.

Now for the Patriots to go out and sign 52 WRs so the Patriots can go 19-0 in 2013.

This Ravens team reminds a lot to the 2006 Italy national team, or the 2011 Mavericks: they won on their last shot with a lot of veterans ready to move on.

Hopefully, they will suck for the next 4-5 years to come. I'm glad Flacco had this kind of postseason prior to his free agency year, and secured an unbalanced team, led by a non-elite QB, for the next Ravens generation.

Congrats to the Baltimore Ravens. We may hate them, but
you know what? They're CHAMPIONS and for that, you have
to respect them.

Congrats to the 49ers for making it to the SB and discovering a true talent on Colin Kaepernick. Sadly for us, they got denied by the refs last night.
