Superbowl XLVII Thread

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of seeing teams I dislike winning the Super Bowl. No poetic justice in this one especially.

We really want you in a SB, because of respect, to know how our fans feel. But its not as epic as before, you and giants are epic now. I think most of us would be as happy if Brady wins, as shown by the stats, we respect NE . So I dont think we are a epic match anymore. NE is a power house, we are not, and thats just truth.

Will the Bride wear a white suit?
Of course not. There are no virgins at the 4 letter network (aka Empire State Sports Programming Network.) If you end up there, you know you've been f***ed.

Hey....got to give it to the guy....He won (and teammates) when he had the opportunity to do so....Tom has had TWO SB's to get it done within the past 5 years and he and team could not get it done. Have no problem having people say Flaccid is elite now...same as I have no issues with them saying it about Eli. Why? They get it done when it counts....and they are clutch in the BIG games. Tom has to prove that he is still that BIG game QB...when it counts and ALL the chips are on the table....Unfortuneatly, I do not think he is THAT guy anymore. Legendary QB for us.....and one of the greatest of all time....But unfortuneatly, just feel that he has won his last SB (04') in NE.....

Flacco had some weapons and they stepped up. Tom has some but the healthy ones don't. 3 of Kaepernick's 5 INC's in the first half were to one of Tom's OLD weapons. That one never stepped up in the playoffs so what else was new.

Except, of course, for catching the potential game-winning TD in SB42. . . .

The last time the Ravens won a SB, it didn't turn out to be such a great night for a couple of people near Ray. If I were in NOLA tonight and saw Ray coming, I'd run the other way. Someone's gettin' iced tonight.

Ray Lewi's son's career is starting at the U, he will not be with ESPN, he will finally focus on his family

i either see him becoming just a football dad, or a Miami coach (LB?)

after 4 years though, broadcasting/espn is quite possible

Wrong Super Bowl. The murder happened the season before they won.

He's already signed a deal with ESPN...

Great, the juice monkey murderer, horseface (aka Suggs) and the dirtiest player in the league (Pollard) get their rings.

Where were you today, football gods?? Where were you??:bricks::bricks:

No, the murders happened the year BEFORE Baltimore won its first Lombardi.

If only the Patriots had a Anquan Boldin type receiver whom Tom can just throw it to no matter how covered

Clearly there are none

....moss wide open followed by 4 tries at 1st and goal... make my mind stop....

i would have preferred 28-6

Dean Pees told me the 4th down blitz call tonight was the same blitz called vs NYG in SB42.

Maybe Hobbs should have held Burress like Smith did Crabtree.

FWIW

Jim Harbaugh declined to do a post game interview for CBS.

Then he blamed the refs for missing the PI

Then when asked why they didn't run once on final series said "because we had other plays called..."

Oh, and according to Mr. Raven they won because

"Ray Lewis: 'It's simple when God is for you, who can be against you.'

I have news for you Ray, God had nothing to do with what transpired tonight.

I told the board two days ago how this game would play out and what the score would be....another coinky dinky...what's that...like 6 in a freakin' two since 2007??

I wonder how Brian Billick feels. He's had to cover this game and even interviewed the guy he was fired for.

As Matt Cassel showed at the end of 2008, teams can win because of their QBs. As he showed at the beginning of 2008, teams can win in spite of their QBs.

I'd argue that the Ravens won this because of Flacco. That was an impressive postseason he just put together. Still not convinced he is elite. But if he keeps up that style of play he'll have an argument.
