Flacco will get his pay day. And birds won't be able to keep everyone on D,
Welcome Reed and Ellerbee!

Boldin will possibly be let go too. Even if we don't sign any of them, Baltimore will have to get rid of some quality guys to afford their QB after this game.

he will be the highest paid player in the NFL in the off season

i get we all want reed and boldin..but lets be realistic...Reed isn't coming here...and boldin...age. We have an older guy too and guess what he does every year?

The real benefit to us is that that Ravens team is toast for a few seasons. They're losing Kruger and Lewis, probably Reed, and possibly Bolden.

i see kruger staying and reed staying especially if they win the SB

Boldin...we won't know

Hold on now, not so fast. Michael Felger, the omnipotent, all-knowing one to his legions of lemmings (led by his pal, Mazz) says that "the cap is crap." According to him, this will have no effect on the Ravens. Mikey claims that any team that doesn't sign everyone they want regardless of salary is simply, like the Patriots, cheap. And whatever you do, don't you dare question him on any other message board lest you be banned, as I was for that "crime."

Let's see how much their team is gutted first before coming to these crazy realizations that they'll suddenly be losing everyone. We've seen plenty of teams get creative in signing most of their players they want, and the loss of a player or two usually doesn't have nearly the effect that so many think it does.

As far as Flacco's MVP goes, he and his agents were already asking for 20+ million aav as it was, so I don't see it having too much bearing on things at all.

The best news that N.England could get is news they make for themselves. That would entail a solidified secondary and a WR with the ability to make some bigger and more explosive plays.

Exactly. I'd have a hard time seeing them let Kruger walk away and I think that he's actually their first priority after tagging Flacco. Reed will very likely want to end his career in Baltimore, so he may take a bit less to stay.

Even if Boldin is let go, I question how much the team would be interested in him anyway, and that isn't even bringing into acct the financial implications if they are.

I'm sure the team will be a little bit different of course, but we've seen situations where these cap problems are majorly overblown. I highly doubt that the Ravens are going to sit back and let all of these good players walk away, at least all at once.

And what makes you think the pats will be able to stop flacco? He's had three straight superb games against belichicks defense...couple that with bradys typical pantload v the Baltimore defense and I don't see how anything short that comes out of balt winning tonight is "good for the pats"...

I honestly think they will unload after this win. Except for Flacco.
Now is the time to blow it up. After you win with an older team.

I said to somebody else that the Ravens winning would at least increase New England's chances if they're interested in any of their guys. It's easier to leave a team having gone out on top with nothing else to prove than to walk away having not finished the job. But I agree their future after this year might be in doubt, although as we know - winning a championship is the best reason to give any visiting free agent to sign.

Ellerbe? There's at least 3 Ravens FAs this team needs more than Ellerbe.

I forgot where I saw this, but there was a report from Baltimore that Kruger is definitely gone. After a pretty good season and then fantastic postseason, he can get paid, but it won't be in Baltimore.

As long as belichick has his players on the shortest of leashes and does not let anyone take a chance to make a play on defense its not going to matter whe baltt loses....

flacco will get close to 20 mill making him highest paid player in league...fine by me

Baltimore Marlins?

I wouldn't mind him here. He may be 33 but he's playing like 23.

The Ravens could save $5.5M by cutting Boldin and $3.5M by cutting Jones.

So basically, they'd be re-signing one of the top three players in this game by cutting the other two.

How can anyone not want Boldin after that game? He made all the catches in the clutch. Something the pats can never get anymore.
