I know this thread will be moved probably but as a Pat fan - I am over th loss but just thinking how great the feeling would have been today if we were playing a non-NY Giant team without all that pressure. Last year I couldn't enjoy one bit the 2 weeks. Oh well...till next year. Not easy getting opportunities like we did.

Still feeling sucky....

I hear ya bud. Everything fell into place for the Pats to play at home and they ended up ****ting the bed. On to next season.

This years offseason might be longer than usual which will add to a disappointing early exit before the SB

.......the word around just about everywhere is that the 2013 draft is overall a lame one with no real exciting players to drool over and the 2013 FA class in areas of need here, such as Safety and WR aren't really jam packed with players that could make a huge difference.....(Ed Reed ain't coming here,he'll retire a Raven)

I think the more interesting things going on with this team this offseason to look forward to pass the time away will be more of who stays and who goes within the roster than who is added on.

Still better than missing the playoffs....

My only lament is that football is not year round

The business side of it is year round.

Is anyone considering adopting a CFL team?

hell no....

it just sucks we have to wait months and months and months to see them on the field again...is it fall yet? :D

The only thing worse than not watching the Pats in the superbowl is having to listen to people complain about all the deficiencies of the team (like there is a perfect team out there without a weakness).

For me, i think it's too close to the lose. if we didn't make the post season or lost in an earlier round, i'd probably fell less disgusted with watching the ravens in the bug game...irrational, but hey, I'm a fan.

Not sure how healthy the Pats would be going into the SB had they beat the Ravens. No Gronk, probably no Ridley, who knows about Talib so would the Patriots have really had a great chance beating the 49'ers tomorrow? 49'ers seem pretty healthy, there is no way I could sit through another SB loss, hearing yet again that the Pats haven't won one since spygate, blah, blah, blah.

It would have been nice for all the SB hype with the Patriots the past two weeks but with the feeling in my mind that the Patriots don't have a great shot at beating the 49'ers tomorrow in the SB. Would have been a different feeling had both the Pats and Falcons won. But since the 49'ers are in the SB then with the Pats players health concerns, I'm all good for regrouping, reloading and making a big run next season.

True and I feel the same. Patriots vs. 49ers would have been epic. The best offense vs. the best defense. However, I sort of knew that it would be hard for the team to come through without some of their key players (Talib, Gronk and Jones) because they are some of the guys that put this team over the top.

If there was a team other than the Patriots I would love to see in the superbowl, it would be the Ravens. Just happy that at least the Steelers or Peyton Manning isn't in it.

It sucks that the Patriots aren't in the superbowl, but sometimes you just got to put aside your love of the Patriots and just appreciate football as it is. After this game, no more football! I love the Patriots and am a big fan, but I'm a football fan first and will be looking forward to the superbowl. A great superbowl matchup awaits tomorrow and will be rooting for the Ravens (I'm from MD and have family there) as it will be the last ride for some of the veterans of that team and it will feel good knowing that the Patriots lost to the superbowl champions.

Stay optimistic, the best is yet to come from this team.

That sums it up for me personally.

If ATL had won, I'd be feeling the 2006 season and the blown loss to the Colts in the AFCCG all over again. Up until last yr's SB loss that was the 2nd worst loss for me, even topping the Bledsoe led SB team.

But since the 49'ers won, that actually makes me feel slightly better. I'm not claiming that they couldn't have won the game because I do think they'd have played them tougher than last time, but if I had a choice in losing tomorrow or last week, I take last weekend every single time.

Some would disagree, but I'm with you in not wanting to deal with another heartbreaking SB loss in back to back yrs. I wouldn't feel that way for the majority of years, but in this particular instance I wouldn't have wanted to get there and lose again 2 yrs in a row.

True......Also I blame the Pats for letting the HarBARF Bowl from happening. It's really quite nauseating.

But I also agree with some of the posters that losing 2 straight SuperBowls in a row would have been devastating and with the health of the Pats the way it was - no Gronk, no Ridley and possibly no Talib - that would have been a distinct possibility.

Oh well....go Niners. Can't root for a team that disrespected us after the last game the way Suggs and Pollard did.

Personally, after tonight, it will give me a sense of closure from the Ravens game, especially if the 49ers win. I'd love nothing more than to see Lewis lose his final game at the SuperBowl.

As Patriot fans we are lucky to have a team that is a contender year in and year out. It just makes the expectations higher than other fanbases might have.

That being said, is it September yet? :D

This SB does make me sick.

The game on the field will be entertaining. But all the Harbaugh and Lewis focus is going to make it hard to watch.

And Beyonce? Please.

I'm very sad about the Pats losing. I was going to go to New Orleans and as I suspected, prices for the game on line have plummeted during the second week. I was going to wait and pick them up on Thursday or Friday before the game.

More than anything re sports, I want to see the Pats win one more SB. I worry that Bill and Tom both want it so bad that they press in big games. That may or may not be true, but the whole thing worries me a bit as I just want one more.

Sorry for the ramble.

And yeah, I know that having seen my team win three and compete every year makes me lucky. But after SpyGate, I want one more to shut up the Haters and just see those guys get some redemption.

Go Pats!!!!

You try to get in the SB any way you can. You can't guranetee next season - they could be worse health-wise in the playoff than this year.

Never going to win with a mid level defense. Been sayin that for 4 years.

We would have won last year with a healthy Gronk, that's the part that is really frustrating. I was looking forward to doing all of the Superbowl week stuff and being that close and losing I didn't want to do any of it, plus I have to drive past the Superdome every day and see the Ravens logo all over town. Frustrating.

I feel good today. Got 7-3 and 4-0 for my superbowl squares:)

Like I'm ever going to %^&*ing win;) Been playing for 10 years and never won a quarter

Well, I look at the playoff loss this way... if you can lose 4 regular season games, it is not surprising when you lose a more tightly played championship game.

As for today, I will be over-working my remote to avoid all the ads and all the Supe Hype. I only want to see the actual football game--that is why I watch all sports, for the game itself. The side junk is pure plastic, sometimes of the cheapest texture.
