Didn't see a thread on this already so sorry if I missed it. ESPN just posted on their facebook page Adrian "All Day" Peterson has been named league MVP.

Russell Wilson robbed of ROTY as well. Glad Peyton didn't get another undeserved MVP though.

That one was a toss up for me. Both had really good years. Seahawks were a more talented team overall. Wilson is the steal of the draft fo sure.

Whew. I thought for sure they'd give it to manning again.

Wouldn't have mattered if manning got it...still doesn't change the fact he chokes in the playoffs

Peterson deserved it. Manning's season as a whole was overrated. Peterson had a near record breaking season and totally carried his team. The Broncos were at least a 10-11 win team with any QB who could actually throw the ball.

ESPN sucks to the core :
Peterson EDGES Manning Peyton for NFL MVP :
AP : 30.5 Votes , PM : 19.5 Votes
Manning EASILY bear AP for come back player of the year :
PM 31.5 Votes , AP : 17.5 Votes

Why this manningship ESPN ?

RG3 has slightly to notably better numbers in about every category playing for a crap team. He was shredding Seattle, in the playoffs, apart before aggravating a leg injury. He throws a better deep ball. Throws everything with more accuracy and power. Can run a lot better too. I can't think of a player more deserving of the award.

RG3 had players literally trying to injure him the entire season because his team is full of ****ies that only come to the stadium to pickup their paychecks, unwilling to help. Yet he continued to run and take the shots because it was winning games.

It is a proven fact that reading too much ESPN.com can cause brain damage. It sure has to their writing staff.

Brady no show at the NFL Honors? :)

Blablabla (bigger, faster, stronger arm). Wilson's pocket presence and poise outshines him, and why he won't get killed like RGIII. When you remove Wilson's 5 week rookie season (1-5), he was undoubtedly the best rookie QB and arguably the best QB in the league with below average WRs. (weeks 6-17) He's also sane defensive play calling at the end of the Falcons game from probably being the first rookie QB to win the SB. We'll see in their sophomore seasons.

honestly speaking...Wilson did have some undeserved inflation in both a win, TD, and yards stats

(for that INT-actually-TD gimmick)

Wow, ESPN is laugh out loud pathetic.

So, RG3s true strengths over Wilson are "Blablabla". "pocket presence" and "poise"? I get the feeling you didn't watch Robert Griffin play.

You can seriously tell me that we need to remove five weeks of Wilson's games to make him look better than RG3? And "below average WRs" can describe Washington just the same as Seattle.

I also don't understand how winning the Falcons game hands Seattle the 2013 Lombardi. Really, everything you said was positive spin rather than fact.

it was an incredible great great season by Adrian Peterson ! very well deserved, bravo bravissimo !

Peterson deserved it and it wasn't even close. It would of been a travesty if Manning won since he wasn't even the best QB in the NFL.

They were a 10 win team last year with a QB who couldn't.

So happy Peterson won the MVP. Very deserving.
