Randy Moss 'regrets' way things ended with Patriots

Where do you get these riduculous ideas?

Moss had checked out mentally. He was being paid 9 mil in the third year of his 3 year contract. Have you forgotten his 16 minute post game "ME" rant after the 2010 week one win? He had 9 catches after 4 games. You think Bill should have kept him around to play that out? Really?

after that PC...he checked out..

The Patriots trailed 7-6 at halftime of the game, and Moss had just one pass thrown in his direction up to that point. According to sources, Moss told O'Brien it was on him to make some adjustments. O'Brien, who calls the plays, didn't take kindly to the remark, and emotions rose.

That sure sounds like someone who checked out and didn't want to win.

I don't think moss quit or "checked out" on the patriots, butwas merely a victim of the patriots strict behavior policy .

"He had 9 catches after 4 games." Moss was being phased out of the offense

Did you miss the fact moss (who clearly still had enough in the tank) wanted to retire a patriot, but the patriots only wanted him for one more tear? And was pissed off after week 4 when he realized the patriots were clearly trying to move on and were not targeting him. If the patriots wanted to use him moss would have been playing for a new contract.
This was clearly on the patriots.

Moss had 3 touchdowns with the limited opportunities he was given

Do you forget how the 2009 Moss behaved when he didnt get the ball because other teams were taking him away?

At the end of his time in NE, there were games where Moss was basically useless because he wasnt involved with the offense and didnt bother to try and get open. Remember him? Everyone else rushing back to the huddle and Moss taking his sweet time. How about when Brady forced a ball to Moss even though he was covered and the pass was intercepted with Moss never trying to bat the ball away?

Moss was always great when Moss wanted to be. Even when he was in his prime it was known you had to involve Moss early in the game or he would check out. It was always a matter of time with Randy, much like Owens. He was great when he was happy, but the split-second he is unhappy - watch out! I am glad the Pats moved on when they did. I, too, was tired of piss-poor effort on the field - way too often. He was barely at full speed and he gave little effort "going after the ball" in the end. I wish him well in the SB and if he wins I hope to wish him well in retirement.

That can be said about every hall of fame type receiver.

"At the end of his time in NE, there were games where Moss was basically useless because he wasn't involved with the offense and didn't bother to try and get open." Moss was being used a decoy at the end of his career in new england. If o'brien used any hall of fame receiver as a decoy he would get a worse reaction than what he got from moss.

"How about when Brady forced a ball to Moss even though he was covered and the pass was intercepted with Moss never trying to bat the ball away?" How many receivers in the league actually bat the ball away?

I guess i'm alone in thinking a player who loved and wanted to retire a patriot was screwed over when the patriots only wanted give him a year . . the origination treated him badly his last year according according to moss.
Welker would have got shafted the same way if the tight ends didn't get hurt. It's unfair to let a player like moss and welker play out the last year of their contract with the possibility of them getting hurt.

I feel the same way Mr. Moss... I wish you hadn't have gone off the handle during that one fateful presser. I wish you had played hard on EVERY down during 2008 and early 2009 prior to the meltdown, I wish you had been more of a team player those last years here as well.......But I thank this man for everything he did here...and I REALLY wanted the pats to bring him back...especially towards the end of last year when we NEEDED an additional threat (even if a diversion here and there) in the SB. Regarding Ocho.....well Tiquan Eraserhead Underwood was a better option there so that isn't saying much...but agree that he was easily as good if not better option than Branch....Wish him the best of luck in whatever he chooses to do with the rest of his life.....

2010, 2011, and 2012 Is strangely ironic when you consider the fact moss wanted a 3 year contract

Did Randy score TD's in some alternate universe in 2011? Because there were no takers of the 32 teams in this one.

Bill really did blow that one, Randy could have helped show all our productive new rookies how to roll.

It sure sounds like you live in an alternate universe where Randy Moss in 2009 was actually the Randy Moss of 2007 when nothing could be further from the truth.

Saying you "love" the team is not the same as actually loving the team i.e. selflessly serving what you "love". Randy Moss gave what he could give before he got in his own way. At that point, it was better for everyone concerned to part ways.
