If the Ravens win, do we play in Balt for the opener?

What do you think? The SB champ plays at home on Thursday. Usually the Ravens-Steelers do not play until mid-season for some reason.

Baltimore has a lot of good options should they have that game:

Bengal, Steelers, Pats, Jets, Packers, Vikings, Texans

It's possible we would be in it but who knows if NBC wants to use that card so early. Doesnt really matter though, SF is going to be hosting a game that night not Baltimore.

It's likely us or possibly Denver. Bring it on!!

Still think it would be Patriots. NBC will be fine with their traditional Brady-Manning game in November.

Looks like the Niners have Atlanta at home next year, so rooting for that to be the opener.

I would say it is a safe bet. And even though teams hit there stride usually late in the season, I think that game will be a telling one as to what kind of season '13 will be.

IF the Ravens win and IF we open there, that game will mean a lot.

Let's hope San Fran opens up next season though. I think they will,
likely vs Green Bay or Seattle.

I don't think so. Regular Season Opener's are guaranteed ratings grabbers, they could throw the Vikings (up and coming team, Adrian Peterson) or Jets (NY market, circus atmosphere, Rex) in there and get good numbers. Ravens/Pats will bring big numbers any week, why waste it Week 1?

jets week 1....really? Based on what? Being a below .500 team..they should never get a season opener. They will never be good enough to get one

Vikings and Jets week 1...and the snooze fest begins!

I don't remember any of the season openers being against the other conference. Pats vs Ravens is too big of a game for the opener. It'll be a good but not great opponent like the Bengals.

That game will be played out in SF. The fairies out there will be screaming in high pitched voices and crying once the banner is raised.

Based on everything I said, actually. NY market is a big ratings draw and they are a flipping circus. People will tune it.

Yeah, they are a sub .500 team. But it doesn't matter, since it's the first game of the season.
