Interesting point: as a rookie, Nate Ebner finished second on the team in ST snaps behind only Niko Koutovides.

If he keeps doing that, he'll more than justify the late 6 the Pats used on him. . . . and imagine if he can become a contributor on the D.

I don't think you will ever see him on defense, but he could be Slater 2.0

Ebner has all the physical tools to be a great safety, he's very raw as a DB but if he develops into a starting safety he could be great. He has already lived up to his draft position as a Special Teamer.

I'm not a big fan of these ST only picks. To me they seem like spots you should use on development talent.

Sorry dude but you are waaay off base.

1) Most late 6th round picks do not even make the roster. A guy who can be a 10 year special teams ace is certainly worth that pick.
2) Ebner is the definition of developmental talent. Excellent H/W/S athlete with little football background. Would you rather have an inferior athletic prospect who's a "real safety"?
