So psyched about this. SP back a day fires Sprags, and ordered the change to a 3-4 defense. *****ed out everyone. Says he has a new offense planed, and Now hes going to try and get Romeo Crennel. He seems like a really good guy that the players like to play for. I have no idea about just how good he is as a DC thou.

But he seems to fit our ball club. Does anyone think Crennel would be a good DC for NO to get?
Was he your DC in the SB years?

SP thinks highly of anything from NE.

Good to hear, but some have said stuff like

I'm not gonna hold the chiefs or new browns against him because those teams were a complete disaster from top to bottom.

You think he didnt get a fair shake, or he just cant coach at that level ?
Im asking because if he works out, most dont want to leave NO, but wondering if we only have him short term.

Those would be dream defenses for the saints, lol. I think weve never ranked higher than #21, sence 2006. We only need at #10-15 ranked defense to get deeper in the playoffs I believe.

Romeo will get the most out of the talent he's a tremendous DC, dude gave the Packers their one loss holding Rodgers to 14 points during his ridiculous year.

Where did you hear that NO might convert to 3-4? If true, who do you think plays NT?

Edit: I would love to have Spags on this staff. Unfortunately, he would probbaly return to either the NYG or Eagles.

We dont have a guy that can play NT, lol, its a problem. Nothing like Wilfork.

I gave you this link so you have the one from NOLA, and can tell by our fans that we have alot of guys that will leave the defence because they cant do a 3-4.

Our players had problems with Sprags as DC. They never understood his zone schemes, and said he was unchangable. But, I dont think we had the players on D to do what he wanted, and he was actually the only real HC we had on the sidelines,lol

Sounds like your FO might have their eyes on Jesse Williams or John Jenkins in the 1st round,
depending on their success finding a NT during the free agency period before the draft.

Btw, it's amazing how favorably some people still see Spagnuolo despite him leading the worst (yards) defense in NFL history.

Well we still lose another draft pick 2nd round this year, but I like your choices both are beast. What about NT Casey Hampton from the steelers ?
He's a free agent. Might fit the position short term.
