god...please.....now '

among the prospectors are the Broncos, 49ers, Bills, Seahawks, Packers . . . and Patriots

go to the packers or something..stay away from here

[Not] even the Jets, who have made some screwy decisions over the years, would trade Revis to the division-rival Patriots and, in the process, hand them a Super Bowl.

what a stupid article..talks about pat interested..then on how (which he is 100% right) they would never trade him to pats.

PATS WILL NOT GET REVIS...MAKE IT STOP

I don't buy it. He's an elite corner, no doubt. But you also have to pay elite corners.

Not happening ever ever ever 3 team trades don't happen, Jets aint sending him here, we're not paying him, and we're not giving up a first and second minimum to get him.

This is never happening and neither is Fitzgerald to the Patriots. Let it go people.

pats shelling out 14 mill for him a year? HAHAHA

It's the off-season and not a whole lot to discuss..chill out

Yea, there's about 0% chance he comes here.

Discussing the impossible is pointless, Revis aint coming here and the Cardinals would have to agree to blow up their cap space next year to give away their best player.

Even the Jets aren't that stupid.

Zero trophies since Ty Law left ........................................................pot................................................................................................................................................................................................................stirred

Hmm, the nut graf of the article ...

But don't hold your breath waiting for Darrelle Revis to arrive in Foxboro.

Appears to be at odds with the thread title.

He wants elite QB $$. No way he comes here.

Rex would have a nervous breakdown if the new Jets GM traded Revis to NE.

Say by some miracle Revis was traded her, how soon before our coaching staff teaches him to stop looking for the ball :D

The team has to clap every time Revis walks on the practice field

So some un-named GM allegedly drops the Pats name in a list of teams supposedly interested. Color me unimpressed.

ok, just for a second, consider:

I am not advocating nor protesting. Merely pointing out what another rich story it would be. These two franchises have a unique relationship, much like a hammer and a nail. It would be just another crazy chapter.

Wow, don't tease me like that. I don't see it happening but if he were somehow able to fit in around $11-12M/year I'd be more than happy to ship Mallet and a draft pick to NYJ. Give Welker's money to him, although Welker's a huge loss Revis to our defense would be at least what Welker is to the offense IMO. You saw the effect Talib had, it will be even more and someone without the issues on or off the field. As great as Talib and Bodden were when healthy, there's a reason those guys came cheap, it's always a catch. We're likely gonna hafta dish out for our gamechanging CB. This would save us the $6-8M/year we may have to sacrifice to keep Talib around and like I said, he's a huge risk. You add to our defense:

Revis, first shutdown corner we've had since the glory days
Fletcher or draft a coverage LB
Draft some depth at CB and S
Armstead lives up somewhat close to his expectations

This is one of, if not THE best defense in the league then. Offense takes a hit without Welker but you still field an elite unit: Brady, Gronk, AHern, Lloyd, Edelman, Ballard, Vereen, FA/Draft pick, and the 7th leading rusher in the NFL last year who should only improve in his 3rd season. But yeah, I highly doubt this 'report' carries much merit. One can dream though.
