Get your prediction hats on. Who is this years Shea McLellin or Chandler Jones? Who is this years Vontaze Burfict or Jeff Fuller?

Without thinking too much about it:

Faller - Matt Barkley will fall to the 3rd round.
John Simon will go later on day 3

Riser - Stepfan Taylor and Blidi Wreh-Wilson will both challenge the first round.

I used CBS as it currently stands to determine value as of now.

if john simon drops ill take him i like him a lot also will davis utah state cb is rising and obviously terron armstead as well is rising

I'll add Chase Thomas as a faller. Was getting burned by Michael Williams today. Not good for a 3-4 OLB.

I actually think he'll perform really well at the combine and get over drafted with people blaming it on Lane Kiffin (who is a bad coach).

I suppose they must do otherwise it wouldn't be in the combine, but do teams really pay attention to a QB throwing to an uncovered WR?

I'm with you and think he'll never make it in the pros but some QB desparate team will talk themselves into it. If I was a GM I wouldn't waste the 3rd you proposed on him. I'm merely speculating that he'll impress at the combine, somebody will buy into it and he'll go so much higer than he should.

I've been pretty clear that I love Barkley and would be more than happy to draft him in the 1st round if we traded Mallett. If he is there in the late 2nd/early 3rd I wouldn't hesitate drafting him regardless of what we do with Mallett. I think people are dropping him more based off his stats rather than his performance this year. He didn't quite perform up to his 2011 standards, but I still think he is a very good prospect. He did struggle a bit with pressure up the middle, but what QB doesn't. I think the biggest reason for his drop in production in 2012 was the poor offensive line play. And although he has two quality WR's, he has had quite a few drops on him this season, especially from Woods and his TE's. I could go on with my evaluation but I know I'm in the minority here so I'll leave it at that.

I think Landry Jones will fall into the late rounds and could even go undrafted. I was very underwhelmed by him. I also think Chance Warmack will fall a little, I don't think he will be a top 10 pick based purely on positional value. I think he goes 15-20.

Phew. I was worried about how'd you react :)

It's three things for me that I'm not keen on with Barkley:

1. He lives off the screen and short pass. He throws a low percantage of his balls more than five yards downfield (50% or less). Hard to judge how good he is at the NFL level.

2. His INTS/attempt is poor.

3. He has the best WR tandem in CFB.

There are times when he looks like a top 10 pick but they're too rare in my eyes for a Senior QB on one of the big name schools.

We shall see. You never know, maybe the Pats will draft him in the 3rd and we'll both be right :)

I'm fine disagreeing with people about players, I don't take it personally. I watch each player and make my own judgments and overvaluations of players which is often different to other people or 'experts' opinions. If people have genuine reasons or opinions to not like a player like you do, I am more than happy to listen. What does annoy me though is when people use stupid arguments like he is a USC QB and Mark Sanchez is a bust so he will be a bust. But genuine, informed discussion I am more than happy to partake in.

Having said that, I'm not really concerned about the short passing. One of the things I love about him is his zip and accuracy of the intermediate ball. Does he throw a lot of short passes? Yes, but I think that also has a lot to do with his line play this year. He was forced to get rid of the ball quickly because of the constant pressure, especially up the middle. I also think his game at USC was similar to what the Pats run. Built around a short passing game and YAC, the difference is he had Woods and Lee instead of Welker, Hernandez and Gronk. I actually think that system at USC would prepare him wonderfully for this system.

I agree with you on his Ints this year, that is a concern. However that was one of his strengths in 2011, so I think there is a reason for it. Some of it is bad luck (tipped balls), WR's quitting on routes (Woods from memory) and definitely some bad decisions. I also think some of the shootouts USC got into forced him to throw the ball more which obviously leads to more errors. But I agree, it is a concern.

I actually see the Woods/Lee thing as a positive. One of the biggest things I look for when evaluating a QB is their ability to develop a relationship with WR's. If they can't do that in College, then I question whether they can do that in the NFL. We saw it with Luck and Fleener, RG3 and Kendall Wright, Weeden and Blackmon and even Foles and Criner. I think we also need to remember that Barkley has helped develop these guys into who they are. They are certainly talented, but they were also quite inexperienced and he put them into a position to succeed. Would he have been as successful without them? No. Would they have been as successful without him? I don't think so either.

Wouldn't that tend to hurt his Stock? ;)

*And please invest in a LapTop. If I can afford one, everyone can.

Xavier Rhodes is a big physical CB, that projects to be very good at jamming WR's at the LOS. Right now he is in the late 1st or early 2nd round logjam of players. If he runs well at the combine, I see him moving up draft boards to the teens because his tape is really good from this past season.
