They've certainly whooped our ass when it mattered most with that swagger. I'm not saying we need to become the Jets, just that we need to find some balls along the road if were ever going to win another ring with BB and Brady

You really need to actually think about what you're posting before you post it

Uh? If you think this offense or defense has the right mind set to play in the play offs you're out of your mind.

Once upon a time we had some guys who could deftly talk back without sinking to a mouthy opponents level. Of course back then we could back that exchange up. Either Bill never liked it and merely tolerated it or he doesn't think we have those guys now. I think he crossed the line when he benched Welker for his clever footsie remarks. This team is now generally wound too tight trying to make the scheme work perfectly when it's generally lack of talent due to roster construction or injury that makes that task so daunting if not impossible. Guys play their best when they are well prepared and put in position to win and allowed to play to their talent and instincts while adhering to the broader general discipline of the scheme. He used to remind them back when it was a more veteran team that it was supposed to be fun to play the game and having fun and performing at a high level weren't mutually exclusive. I think he's forgotten that again. He's becomming increasingly risk adverse and his players are reflecting that.

As for Ray and Anna's comments relating to him, Ray was a guy who valued his street cred above all else until it almost cost him his career and any post career ambitions. He adapted his act to maintain all three and two murderers got off in the process. Thugs, bible thumpers and fans of football as entertainment all relate to him equally. The league and the networks are prepared to embrace him as a beacon of redemption. Personally I've seen enough of his tears, his theatrics, not to mention his tonsils and nostrils thanks to NBC last evening, to last a lifetime. I'm sure he has done some good. Most NFL stars are conditioned to these days. I generally root for the NFC when we aren't the last AFC team standing. This post season will be no different.

Upon hearing Suggs reaction after the game, I am really praying that the niners take them. Sounds like this was their SB from the way they are behaving. ....Yesterday Lewis came across as really phony when he was crying during the Anthem. That was all for the cameras and nothing else. Good for Welkers wife, at least some people are not blinded by his act and can see it for what it is!!

I don't know about that.

"Don't enter in to it, let your pads do the talking."

I, on the other hand, do know about that. And like another poster said, Belichick effectively neuters the team.
But then again, ya gotta be a fool to try to bring psychology into the conversational fray on a freaking football board. You're likely to hear a collective overhead whoosh.

The only point that should be taken away from this is that these people we put on pedestals and say great things about are, for the most part, bums. The only difference between Antonio Cromartie and Lewis is 4 women, 4 children, and a murder charge.

At the same time, I don't know much if anything about either one. They may be great men, but they could also be bums. Just playing football does not make them worthy of admiration.

People need to realize these are entertainers, and nothing more. The fact that we pay so much attention and give them so much money, actually makes us the fools...

How could Tom and Wes take bridge night seriously? No way you could just stick to the card game.

Wes's wife just posted an apology ...

"I apologize to Ray Lewis and his family for my comments. In no way did I mean for them to be mean or hurtful. I'm embarrassed for being a sore loser. I wish Ray and the Ravens good luck. Lesson learned!"

I would add speaking ability to this list.

Yeah nothing she said was untrue. I see nothing wrong with this, the way the media portrays Lewis as a role model is what's disgusting.

Sounds like wes just made it home and did the 'LUCY, what exactly going on here?' while looking at the family facebook page. LOL.

There's also the fact that while Cromartie has multiple kids out of wedlock with different women, he isn't a bible thumper who whores his religion to the media as if he's a perfect human being with great morals.

You are right about that. Honestly, I find most bible thumpers don't really walk the walk. On the contrary, I know many Christian people who say nothing but DO everything.

All she did was state facts

I guess us fans can throw stones considering we have Talib, Dennard and Edelman on our squad. As long as they don't throw batteries!

Sorry for the gripe but my daughter was hit in the side of the head last night by a D cell battery trying to shoot the game for NFL photos. They caught the moron and if she presses charges, he may lose his season ticket.

I'm glad she apologized. Now she can concentrate on throwing some love towards her husband after a tough loss. But, I'm not sure Wes will catch it. :)

Ray Lewis is the biggest media whore since fellow adulterer John Edwards. Seriously, crying like a baby during the national anthem being sung by country/western singers? They were okay, but we're not talking Whitney Houston here. Then after the game he drops to his knees and out-Tebows Tebow.

Lewis is creating a self-righteous, Christian media persona that he will turn into millions of dollars. Hucksterism needs to be called out from time to time. Bravo Mrs. Welker!

It's sad that the wives of the team have to stick up for our guys.

This probably isn't too popular on here, but I think Belichick effectively neuters our guys. They can't say anything before the game and I think they're afraid to during it less they end up in the dog house unable to return onto the field if they get a penalty.

Look at our last three horrific losses Jets, Giants, Ravens all three talked **** before the game and came on the field and pushed us around. We talk like gentlemen and play like it.

This team got smashed in the mouth last night and has no balls to respond, partly because of how they are coached.

Yea, and the Pats always come out as the "unclassy, arrogant" team. You know, I'm really starting to hate everyone in the NFL media, "Most" other teams players, and fans. I'm sick of the "cheating BS". They can all suck it. Sorry , I've had a few drinks and I just dont give a $h!t. I'm not bitter about losing, it's just the "we beat the big, bad Pats" mentality. I miss the old days when good teams were respected. I'm really starting to understand BB's outlook. People are just A holes.

What is the Edelman reference all about? The groping thing? Not even in the same zip code as the violence arrests of the other three.

Nevertheless, neither Talib nor Dennard have declared their righteousness or wrapped themselves in their children the way Lewis has.

Sorry about your daughter - please stick with a criminal charge, people like that need to be punished and not allowed in stadiums like Gillette.
