Okay, I'll say it - who are we signing/drafting?

Randy Moss is a freak who often caught balls for us in double and triple coverage. He is the exception to the rule. You aren't going to find a Randy Moss in the 3rd or 4th round of the draft.

There are receivers in the NFL today who can bring balls down in double coverage. We don't need a guy who can bring down balls in double coverage because if we had a guy who could command double coverage(or consistently go up and win one on ones) with the pieces we have our offense would be even better than it is now. You can put a decent corner on Lloyd and he won't kill you.

Sign Richard Seymour.

Our team has lacked balls since he left.

Finally someone who saw what I saw. The Ravens knew that we had no deep threat, and they used it against us. People complain that Brady doesn't throw deep. Who is he going to throw to?

Stallworth was the only deep threat on the rster this year. They would have been better off signing gaffney than branch.

Edelman IS NOT "Welker-in-waiting." I love both of them, but that theory was disproven, in spades, this season.

McCourty is a safety. He's not going back to corner. He is, more or less, poor at CB and really quite good as a safety.

Chung needs to go. Wish we had him signed for one more year so we could trade him to Philly, where Chip Kelly (his old coach) will most definitely sign him.

It was just a bad game with some unfortunate injuries and an opponent who came to play and executed better. I hope we won't be as reactive as message boards can get.

Our team has come close to winning at least one Super Bowl since he left and has made the playoffs every year. I don't think we lack balls. I think we lost the game.

Sign Armond Armstead

Our play calling on defense and offense lacks balls 100%. We will not win another SB if we don't grow a set and go for the jugular instead of playing pattycake like we do now.

On defense I think we need more DBs, maybe a DE. Offense I think we need a big WR and maybe an O-lineman.

Wallace.......only person who I could have imagine helping tonight besides a good saftey

Horrendous. I get that you're upset, but this is ludicrous. I saw things tonigh that I would've done differently - go for it on the 35 or wherever - but playcalling is overrated. Make the plays.

This coaching staff routinely makes aggressive, innovative, gutsy calls - more often than most teams, going for it on 4th down being the best example - to the point that it's a hallmark of the Patriots generally.

What a crazy point you're hitching your wagon to. I'm going to chalk it up to frustration and call it a night.

This is the same Gaffney that couldn't even stick with the Dolphins and finished the year with 4 receptions. I was a big fan last offseason based on his previous season with the Redskins, but he's done.

By position:

QB: Brady needs to calm down in big games. He's gone from super-clutch to choking. As for personnel -- how soon will Mallett move on? Do we need another guy?

RB: We're loaded. Never mind the FB experiments.

TE: We're loaded. And by the way, Gronk is a tall guy who can go up and get the ball.

WR: To my tastes, that's a discussion for another thread.

OT: I suspect Vollmer will move on for LT money elsewhere. If so, we need help.

OG/C: We're in pretty good shape. Of course, upgrades are possible.

DT: We could use a second guy who has both stoutness AND rushing ability.

DE: We have Ninkovich, Jones, and a lot of question marks. An upgrade is easy to imagine, but mainly for a backup/rotation player, so I'm not calling for much investment there.

LB: We could use a speed/cover guy to rotate into the mix -- a light LB or big S.

S: After McCourty, we have nobody who's proven to be more than "meh".

CB: I'm guessing Talib stays and Arrington moves on. That leaves us with two injury-prone bigger CBs, one short second-year player, and some ST/JAG types. Not enough.

K/P/LS: It looked like a lot of snaps were off-target this year.

ST cover guys: We're fine.

I would like to sign the best miracle healer in the world to get Gronk, Jones, Edelman and Talib healthy for the playoff games.

Lets play horrible two years from now that way we can draft the qb of the future..... Johnny manziel.... jk guys, its a joke before ppl start blowing it out of proportion, relax. But we were just awful last night. #1 offense only scored one touchdown and it was in the first half because we were shut out in the second. That was disgusting patriots football. We need to draft for our WR core. We have nothing there. Welker is probably going to leave to collect a nice paycheck and then after him what do we have? lloyd? yeah he's been a nice addition but we can't rely on him solely because there's such a drop off in talent after him. All we have is slater. Edelman is a FA and so is Branch. Branch can leave he didn't do anything for us but wouldn't mind keeping Edelman around. Still though we need a true #1 receiver, be that jennings or bowe. Hopefully we draft a WR somewhere among our picks to develop. But again we need CB help, badly. Picking up Reed would only help our backfield. It would be nice if we kept talib, if not i think getting rogers-cromartie would be nice. I just dont think philly was a good fit for him.
