Peyton Manning goes hunting following loss

He should try shooting across his body while falling backwards. Good mechanics are always the key.

"He's trying to get it out of his system," Archie said. "I don't know when that happens or how. But when he reflects on it, he's already said it, it was really a special year."

It happens at the Manning Bowl, in Honolulu... One and done is now "special"...

Archie's right about that. Back in September, Manning recalled throwing a football to Helton during the lockout that "nose-dived" straight to the ground. Now Manning has a very good chance of winning a fifth NFL MVP award.

Only because the media who vote it "value" storylines over results. Manning won 5 more games in the regular season than a dynamic duo comprised of Tony Romo's backup and the Jets punt team personal protector - and one less in the playoffs. Not to mention for the bargain price of at least $58M...

There have been plenty of mind-blowing choke jobs in the NFL playoffs over the past few decades, but not many can beat what happened at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday night.

On an evening when the Denver Broncos were one play away from clinching a spot in next Sunday's AFC Championship Game, they imploded in a manner that will be discussed for years to come. At worst, it could become the defining game of Peyton Manning's time in this town.

Finally, there were three huge turnovers by Manning, the last of which set up the Ravens' game-winning field goal.

I really think that MVP ballots should not be submitted until the week between the conference championship games and the Superbowl.

Ok, so many opportunities here.

Now I have an image of Peyton firing a shot and missing, giving the Manning face and gesturing with his hand, finger extended, to show the route the waterfowl should have flown.

After the hunting trip when he returns home empty handed, he calls the family together to explain how the ducks failed to do their job.

Absolutely. The unwritten rule that a MVP candidates must be playoff bound is time tested and valid....so let it play out till the end. Relying on Week 17 stats vs amped up playoff conditions......numbingly preposterous. But so isn't having a Pro Bowl without the leagues best crunch time players.
Remember....it's entertainment first
