I find drinking a labored and unnecessary fix for this situation. I just pop pills....:D

What do you mean these weeks?

I was forced to take a benadryl last night, and still only slept about 4 hours. Hope tonight goes better

I know a lot of people are against it, but I've found that the consumption of cannabis can help me sleep more than Benadryl or melatonin ever could. Posting this was probably pretty stupid and broke a forum rule, so if you're a mod and that's true, my apologies.

want some of my vicoden? I take it when i can't sleep because of my back or after snowmobiling in the winters (just got home from up north). helps me sleep

But on a serious not..we don't play in them..why get all worked up? if they make it awesome..if they lose..the world will still turn and there will always be next year..don't take it too serious...learned this after last years SB loss

I find that some combination of Bourbon & Ambien works best for me.

FWIW, I need it to keep the physical pain away at night. The VA has given me all sorts of goodies, but none that work as well as alcohol and Ambien to keep physical pain and bad dreams at bay.

It isn't every night, but it's far more than I'd like. And yeah, the anticipation prior to game day doesn't help either. :rocker:

OP..don't listen to this. Very harmful advice....what a horrible combination

I remember last year after the Super Bowl I drank for about 4-5 days straight, no exaggeration. At one point I was doing the irish jig to Rock and a Hard Place by The Rolling Stones.

Now I just don't take the games as seriously anymore. I want the Pats to win, but if by some chance they lose tomorrow or in the SB, I'll be ok especially that in the event that we do lose it won't be at the hands of a Manning or the Giants.

I'm cautiously optimistic about tomorrow, however. I think the running game plays a big part. We didn't have that element last year.

4 to 5 Days?? Serious rookie.

I suffer from mild manic-depression. Just so happens, on a week when I was being tested on a new med that was supposed to improve things, it had the reverse effect on me, couple that with the heartbreaking loss and hatred for the Giants/all the trash talking they were doing leading up to the game, and I had a temporary nervous breakdown.

Never again. I learned sports are to be enjoyed, but I mean as spectators we have no impact on the outcome of the game. Wasn't at all happy when the Celtics lost to the Heat and Lebron won a title, but hey, I'm not the one playing and unlike most sports towns, I can say that I've seen all 4 major sports win a championship the past decade.

^^ and hopefully add 1 more to that in 2 weeks

Amen to that. If we're lucky enough to get by the Ravens tomorrow, the Falcons don't scare me at all and the 49ers showed all their cards in the first half of the game earlier this year. We also have the most complete team we've had since 2004 (I say 2004 and not 2007 because of the running game and overall team.)

I am MUCH MUCH more afraid of the 49ers than balt...not sure we can get past them..10x tougher IMO than ravens

Not saying it would be easy, but I am saying that we saw their A plus effort already and know what they're capable of. Kind of like when we beat the Giants in the regular season in 07 and they adjusted in the SB.
